The 76ers and free agent forward Donyell Marshall have agreed on a minimum salary contract. The deal should be finalized in the next few days.

Marshall was recently waived by Oklahoma City, days after being acquired in a trade with the Cavaliers. He gives Philly more veteran leadership, but his skills have declined and he is now primarily a (mediocre) spot-up three-point shooter.

he's old, but the thing is, he likes to shoot a lot of 3's. so that might help the sixers a bit.

Seems like were at the point where veterans sign with us because we have a chance of being a really good team. I like this feeling a lot more than the last 6 years

Or the 13th man.
The league is scared of the Sixers! Scared!

Considering we need shooters, and that's basically all he can do at this stage in his career, why not? He will get little to no minutes this season, but i'm sure if he can proove that he has his shot his minutes will rise.

I guess being old, out of shape and on a free fall with your skills makes you a valuable asset to a team?! Donyell..lol...wow...

Not bad if he could still hit those 3s. I remember him getting 12 3s against the 76ers when he was in TO.

i think this is a nice pickup. Sixers are trying to go deep into the playoffs. Another vet can help. He shoots the three with effectiveness. I dont think he will hurt the sixers. Nice signing.

They are clearly not better than Orlando, Detroit, or Boston....Cavs imo would beat them if they met them in the playoffs as well, Philly is becoming very overrated recently.

I guess he can't hurt. He may hit a big shot for us once this year...He is a good guy though, but I'm not ready to decree the Sixers Eastern Champs by any means. Is it a possibility? Yeah, sure. But a lot of stuff has to go right....

I can guarantee that Sixers will have a better record than Detroit and Cleveland. GUARANTEE

Having a better record than the Cavs is arguable, but unless Detroit goes for the whole rebuilding thing and trades one of their main guys, Detroit is going to be better than Philly.
