I'm sure everybody here will list all these post '96 players that are good and are future hall of famers..but the original greatest 50 somehow left out Dominique Wilkins aka The Human Highlight Film.

This guy had some of the greatest battles against Larry Legend and of course against MJ in that '88 Dunk contest. Not to mention his 25000 total points and putting Atlanta on the map! 'Nique needs to be added to that original 50.

The only players worthy of being in the top 50 today are Tim Duncan, Kevin Garnett, and Kobe. However, it won't be long before Lebron, Dwayne Wade, and Chris Paul are being mentioned in that group.

Kobe Bryant and Tim Duncan should be added in there.

if Farmar has a good a solidly good career for the next 10-15 years I'll put him in for Dolph Schayes

I would not remove anyone from the original list, but add to it. The guys that belong on the next list of great players are the following:

Kobe Bryant
Tim Duncan
Allen Iverson
Steve Nash
Reggie Miller
Alonzo Mourning
Dikembe Mutombo
Dirk Nowitzki
Kevin Garnett

Note: Shaq was an original member of the top 50 all time.

Current players that would make the original list if it were done today:

Kobe
Duncan
Nash
KG
Iverson
Miller

By the way, Dominique Wilkins should have been on the original list.

take out pippen's name and put kobe instead

Why Pippen? Pippen>Kobe

Heres my logic, Pippen played second fiddle to 6 nba championships, Kobe only played second fiddle to 3 :D

most of the 50s/60s celtics in the list are only in the list because of their reputation

I think Tim Duncan, Kevin Garnett, Kobe Bryant, and Allen Iverson deserves to be in the hall of fame if they finish out their career.

take out hakeem and put up duncan.
take down jordan and put up kobe.

idk who to take off, a lot of those players were way before my time. so if i had to do it, i'd add guys like i mentioned and take out really old players.

great point. Laker fans aren't gonna like that, but it is so true. And while Pippen was not the same offensive player Kobe is, he, unlike Kobe, deserved to make first team all NBA defense.

i think chris mullin should have been there in the 1st place. the only dream teamer to not make it besides leattner. now kobe, duncan, kg obviously should be there. nique probably should be there too. i dont think ai is in that category personally.

why is bill walton there he had a few good years and thats it. its like putting ralph sampson there if he won a ring. he didn't dominate the game for a long period of time like most of the top 50.

Because there's maybe been 2 players at most that had a better 2 year run than Bill Walton.

Add:
Kobe Bryant
Tim Duncan

Drop:
Hal Greer
Dolph Schayes

Nobody in their right mind would take either Hal at G or Dolph at F over Kobe at G or Timmy at F. As much as I can't stand his complaining after every play (Kobe is annoying with it too, he just doesn't do it every single play), there is no doubt he belongs in the Top 50.
