On the current Lakers squad, I'd say Farmar is a pretty small point guard. It's the reason he's so bad at defense.

No question about SG..it's Nate Robinson.

He's a SG in a tiny PG body. If he were 6'6..I don't even know how to imagine how insane he could be. He'd be at least JRich potential..

5'11" Michael Adams- He played out of position at PG, as his game was more of that of a SG.. either way 5'11" at either position is a stretch.
6'8" A.C.Green/ Dennis Rodman- smaller frame was not an issue in terms of their basketball IQ while manning the PF
6'9" Oliver Miller- Yes he did have the reach and knew had to use his weight/ frame to box out, but he was always over towered by the other C's.

PG - Earl Monroe, and he was great
SG - See Monroe (replace was with is)
PF - Shawn Marion. Barkley was short, but he played at 260lbs. Marion is 6'7" 220lbs

The first thing that popped into my head was the Miami Heat this year. They're not tiny, but if they were to put their 5 most talented guys on the floor they would be playing some seriously small, small ball.
C: Haslem
PF: Marion
SF: Beasley
SG: Wade
PG: Chalmers?

I know that won't be the lineup they put out there, but if they were to go small ball, that wouldn't be a terrible lineup, and I would think, that lineup will be seen at least somewhat in the coming season.

But thats not at all where this thread was going.

They are trying to develop him into a PG, since he has the ability to penetrate at will and hit shots. The only thing he lacks though, is the ability to set up his teammates and find the open man. Sure, time to time he finds the open man..but overall, he plays like a SG. When the ball is in his hands, he'll be looking to score, not to pass. Although in last years Summer League in Vegas he did show a whole lot of PG potential. Don't get me wrong, I'd love for him to develop into a nice PG, but until then..I'm still gonna label him a SG.

I'm a Knick fan, I would know. :)

how is Wade undersized in the SG spot?
and Beasley in the SF?
they would put Beasley in the PF spot and SF Marion,
Marion wouldn't be undersized in that SF spot

no, i'm not saying their entire team would be undersized. I'm saying their biggest guy would be 6'8", and either marion or beasley would be among the smaller PF's in the league. But overall the team would be small.

i think earl boykins plays more of the SG role... he's much more of a shooter then a passer... and i believe when he was on the bucks he played along side mo williams who is a pg... so i would but boykins at sg... correct me if im wrong on the bucks thing...
