New ad from John McCain on the McCain frontpage. It will also be run during the DNC on network and cable outlets (MSNBC, CNN, FNC).

In a bit of a switch from the normal attack rhetoric, John McCain issued a "Congrats Obama" ad ... only for today.

Very nice.

(feel free to merge into something else later on, but I thought since it was directed at today it would be ok to be in its own thread)

There's the McCain we all loved. I wonder if this was him making the Republicans let him be nice.

Ahhh.... See, isn't that better? It's a good move on the Republican's part. It's nice to see. I hope that he gets big kudos by the media for this, and they can see a little bump in the polls. Maybe we could get away from the smears that have been a hallmark of his campaign. We'll see...

So slick, you would think Bill Clinton himself came up with it.

I don't really care if he was sincere or not. I just want them to find some incentive to this kind of stuff, and maybe then we can get away from the hate and lies.

Classy move from McCain. I'm sure there was some sort of political motivation here in part, but I'll take it at face value. This is the McCain I used to respect.

I really hope you take this for what it is. It is a satire... He is being sarcastic like when he made his comment about being rich only if you make 5 mil or more...

Hypocrisy much, McCain?

THIS WEB AD (http://jp.youtube.com/watch?v=1nA1MwOE86U) was released by the McCain campaign on the very same day he released his congratulatory ad.

LOve the add, won't hurt him, and will only help him a little, but if Sen. Obama doesn't do it next we, it will help McCain tremedously.

Wow, I'm sorry guys, I had no idea that location settings would transfer like that.

It's a constant annoyance to me, too, because since I live in Japan it automatically opens up to the Japanese page by default.

JIC you couldn't get it back, there's a small flag icon in the upper right hand corner, click it and then choose "global" if there's no U.S. option (I can never see one from here).

Sorry!
