Who would be better?

I think Webber/Bibby because they actually were. They beat Nowitzki/Nash in the playoffs every year except when Webber went down with his season ending knee injury.

Nash/Nowitzki could have been REALLY good if they would have stayed together longer. Both combined have won 3 of the last 4 MVP awards. But since they didn't stay together, it has to be Bibby/Webber.

Yeah I'm biased, but at the time, Webber and Bibby were better.

They were way better.

They were way better.

for about 1 playoff series. I still can't believe Mike Bibby and the Kings nearly beat the Lakers in that one WCF. that was by far the peak of Bibby+Webber combo.

Bibby and Webber were both better players than Nash and Dirk respectively during the handchecking era (past-2004).

Nash's style of play really benefited from the rule changes made prior to the 2004-05 season, and that was also the same time that Bibby and Webber hit their decline...

I think age and team changes have a lot to do with all of that, but it's an interesting observation nonetheless.

At the time, I'd take Bibby and Webber, but if we are taking the prime of each player, I'd probably still take Bibby and Webber, cuz Webber in his prime was sick, like one of the best PFs of all time sick... it's just that his prime was cut really short due to injuries...
