According to the Chicago Sun Times, Fred Miller is deciding between offers from the Bears and Bucs.

The Bears have reportedly offered Miller a one-year deal worth $830,000 after the 35-year-old struggled for them last season.

Heck...if they're that desperate, I'll take half that and line up at RT!

We need a back up w/ experience to back up St. Clair and Tait. We should get the answer today (if he becomes a Bear).

There has got to be a cheaper undrafted FA or player to be cut that is better than him.

At least he'll be a backup if he signs.

Miller would be fine as a backup. You likely wouldn't find anyone in FA for cheaper who could fill the role he's going to fill...which is 2nd/possibly 3rd string tackle. Because Williams is out, the Bears need an insurance plan if things go horribly wrong. Fred Miller seeing playing time means that the season is bust and it's time to evaluate for the draft.

How long before Goodell suspends Angelo for the season, it is now clear by his moves that he is in the NFL's substance abuse program. Though I wonder what Angelo's persuasion is? Most likely booze, but part of me would not be suprised if it were crack. Miller? Come on. I hope Miller and Kruetz decide to celebrate this over a few beers at a local gun club.

He already knows the offense and were desperate.

This is the best option the bears have.

anyone who looks at it different isn't paying attention.

hahaha.
i thought that was great.

although i dont think signing miller for that cheap, for depth would be bad at all.
yeah, hes no longer "good", but hes probably better than most other options we have at this point(undrafted, or 7th round rookies. or worse FA's.)

i guess i just remember him last year being owned often and a huge drop off in production from the previous years. But IF there is really no one better then oh alright.
