I, for one, was happy to hear it. Pleasant surprise to hear it confirmed on Sportscenter as well.
We shouldnt really need him next year and he has been slipping as of late anyways. So it would be nice if we got something for him. The real question is, "what are we getting and will it be a prospect or player worth getting excited about? Or some .250 hitting AA first baseman?"
Because we all know that we could use another first baseman ;-)

No surprise here. It really doesn't matter what we get or if we get anything. Time for him to go. He could be kept on through the end of the season to help the young guys in Sept. But his spot in the rotation should be lost.

Just get something we need out of this, a useful part. That's all I ask.

I doubt we find a trade partner for Rogers. If we do we should take what ever we can get.

Who cares if he is traded. What is he going to do for any other team?

Not sure what we could get. A low tier prospect? Maybe a more qualified backup catcher to put Sardhina off the depth chart.

I like Kenny, but the tank is about empty. He has been a class act in Detroit and I would like to see him get a shot at the playoffs. Plus, it would open a slot to see what someone else can do here.

win them a championship

I dont know if a team acquired him that it would make them championship contenders on that pick up alone, but having a veteran pitcher to add with a group of young guys in invaluable. he will helpa team. but win a champion ship i doubt

It's a gamble with the gambler. If he finds his stride, I believe he could still dominate for a short period of time. Guy's been around here all year, everybody dragging their behinds. Put him in a proper environment in meaningful games, and I believe there's a chance he could be a difference. Same time, could be he's now a 5-plus ERA guy.

Kenny is crafty, and provides veteren leadership. Even if he gets traded, he doesn't necessarily need to be in the starting rotation, maybe a team gets him and uses him in the rotation for the rest of the year, but then when the playoffs come, he becomes a lefty specialist or something out of the pen
