Seahawks MLB Lofa Tatupu was spotted in the locker room on crutches following Monday night's exhibition game.

Tatupu exited early with a knee injury. He reportedly looked "very stiff" after the game and will undergo an MRI on Tuesday. Tatupu's loss would be huge for Seattle after Niko Koutouvides and Kevin Bentley left in free agency.

Hello Mr. Hawthorne... This guy might get the chance he is looking for. There is no doubt I'd rather see Lofa out there though. Anyways, hopefully David can fill in and do great while/if Lofa is out.

^ No clue... They didn't even talk about his injury on FSN after the pathetic Mariners' game. I take it FSN didn't know about his injury for some reason, otherwise they definitely would have mentioned it. You never know though, maybe he is totally fine. :shrug:

if they're not really talking about it, it must not be serious.

It's a bruise. No ligament damage. Won't play against the Raiders but he's probably fine.

Someone on another site indicated that Holmgren said neither Frye nor Tatupu have any ligament damage on the knees.

yea it was just a slightly sprained knee, Tatupu will sit for the week, do light workouts and be fine by season opener.

Ah, good news... So if Frye doesn't play QB, does that mean we have to risk Seneca getting hurt and playing four quarters this next game?

let forsett play qb

let forsett play qb

Forsett sucked last night.

That is because we didn't allow him to throw. His best games was when we let him do more than he should. =)

isnt he your guys best defenseve player? this could be huge.

08-27-2008, 03:02 AM
^^ they have enough playmakers on defense to pick up some of the slack..besides its not too serious

the injury is nothing more than a bruise. he'll be 100% by week one, reports say. sorry to let you down, niner fans - but I'm sure you'll keep bringing it up in arguments against us, like you already are.

The initial diagnosis of Seahawks MLB Lofa Tatupu's knee injury is a "bruise."

The Tacoma News Tribune speculates that if it was serious, we'd know by now. The Seahawks should give more information at Wednesday's practice.

Seahawks coach Mike Holmgren said Wednesday that he expects MLB Lofa Tatupu (knee) to be back for Week 1.

Tatupu is dealing with a bone bruise and isn't practicing yet, but could be on the field by next week. He is arguably Seattle's most valuable defender.
