Hey everyone, we will be continuing the series to find a true top 10 list at each spot. We have just finished the 8th poll which was won by Richard Jefferson. Number 9 should prove to be wide open in terms of voting as no player other than smith last round got votes in double digits.

Please vote and be sure to make comments to who you voted for to create discussion. I have included the players that should maybe have consideration to be in the top. The rest is up to you.

Like I said before, I will add more players to the list as soon as we put another guy on the top 10 list.

PS: Please do not start any threads with the same title. I am capable of conducting the polls and completing the series of threads to find the top 10 players at each position. If I need some help I will ask for it. Thanks for your time.

An updated list of the polls we have completed can be found here..

I picked Josh, Street Racing/Drugs aside, he's who'd I'd want to run sf, on any of my teams. (Out of those players)

Voted for Gerald Wallace here. Pretty good offense and very good defense. It was tough to choose between G-Wall, Deng or Josh Howard but I like Gerald Wallace the most by a bit.

Cant put him on the PF list if Gasol is playing PF for the lakers. He will start the year at SF, thats why he is on this list.

It's extremely difficult to rank Gay, Prince, Deng, Wallace, Howard, Granger, and Odom as being better than one another. They are all fine players and none stand out of the group. I chose Gay, but again I just as easily could have chose one of the 6 others I listed. Gay is so athletic, he can shoot, block, rebound, and is such a long body. I think he will have a big season.

Wow no love for Josh HOward at all? People have been watching too much TV.... Outside of all the off court problems..> howard is a solid solid player.... I would take Howard over Rj... Rj is a veyr selfish player.. but is a good talent... Always attacks which is good.. and is great in the open court.... But Josh howard is a better overall player by Far.
My list:
1) Lebron James
2) Carmelo Anthony
3) Paul Pierce
4) Ron Artest
5) Shawn Marion
6) Josh Smith
7) Caron Butler
8) Josh Howard
9) Richard jefferson
10) Ruday Gay
11) Gerald Wallace
12) Lamar Odom
13) Danny Granger
14) Loul Deng
15) Tay Prince
16) correy Maggete
17) Kevin DUrant

Is Lamar Odom really winning this? You have gotta be kidding me. Rudy Gay, Gerald Wallace, Danny Granger, Josh Howard, Luol Deng, and Tayshaun Prince are all better than Odom. It's obvious that this is a fan poll.

Danny Granger should make top ten. This just shows how underated he is.

I agree. Danny is definitely deserving of top 10. Lamar Odom is getting way too many votes. Being in LA helps I guess.

Granger. He is the modern day Michael Finley. Underrated. I like his game, and he still has upside. I am finally getting the NBA package this year, so I will get to watch him a bit more.

uh, you think? Ask LA who they would rather of had in the finals? Cause Lamar looked like he shouldn't even be starting in the NBA

I might be the oddball here, but I think it's Gerald Wallace. The guy knows how to finish at the rim, and plays suberb defense.

Hedo! Just compare his stats from last season with everyone else's.

it HAS TO BE Gerald Wallace. Anyone other than Gerald Wallace is a crime. This guy is just such an amazing player...he has a high basketball IQ...he hustles and plays with a lot of heart despite playing on a bad team...the passion he plays with reminds me of Allen Iverson in the sense that he's willing to sacrifice his body for the ball. he also scores, rebound, defend, steals, blocks, ect ect ect. he does EVERYTHING.

IMO, even as a wiz fan, I would put Butler a little lower, cause he gets injured alot. But back to the topic on hand, Odom, is the choice here.

underrated

he has been talked about so long now as underrated, he is overrated. He is crap offensively, and if he didn't play for a team where he is the 4th option, nobody would talk about him. Gain some weight already, you aren't 23anymore

Gerald Wallace >>>>> Lamar Odom

hands down.

Gerald Wallace has a higher basketball IQ than Lamar Odom...a waaay higher basketball IQ. He also plays harder and with more passion than Lamar Odom. The passion Wallace plays with reminds me of Allen Iverson in the sense that he's willing to sacrifice his body for the ball.

Wallace also steal the ball better than odom, block the ball better than odom, scores better than odeom, and defend better than Odom. He pretty much do everything better than Odom. The only thing Odom beats Wallace in is rebounds.

im sorry but Josh howard is a top 10 sf in the league. scrodom will win this and G.Wallace will probably win number 10 but Josh howard should be anywhere from 7-10
