View Full Version : Female NBA fans...

I seem to be in the minority here as I am a female and the rest of you seem to be males. I was wondering, how many of you know females that are fans of the NBA? There are other female NBA fans out there, aren't there? I have yet to stumble across one-here or at work/school.

Try lapeapod. She's probably the best poster I've found on PSD and she's a major Carlos Delfino fan. She's from Detroit and cheers for the Pistons, but last season she was a Raptors fan because of Delfino. You should look her up because you both have great insights into the game. :)

My wife is an Iverson fan. She likes him because she thinks he's "cool" and she's just so impressed at what he's able to do despite being so short compared to the other players.

-----------

Edit-

It's been a long time since I've lived there now, but I'd also say in general that there are a lot of women in Colorado who really know their stuff when it comes to the Broncos. (I know, not b-ball, but still...)

Last time I checked, Mz really means a woman from the South......hence mzgrizz.
Been an NBA fan for years. We would go to the games when the Lakers brought their traveling show.....and they would be "our LA Lakers"!!!!!
Little did we know then that they'd take our best Memphis Grizzlies player!
Been a season ticket holder for 9 years this season. ...old timer. But I enjoy reading this Forum...some real nice folks here.

Why should it matter if posters are male or female?.

Specially since, once spurred declared his sex , not surprisingly and sadly ,in no time there you have it a Male chauvinist post and someone trying to start flirting....

I dont know many girls that like sports.

I mean follow them, know the players and care for the GAME itself, not for How Pretty is David Beckham or How Cut is Rafa Nadals Hair or Federers Hair.

But of course there must be some, Spurred seems like a Knowleadgeble, Fan.

Another female fan here...season ticket holder for 9 years in Memphis..attended any NBA game we could find when my husband and I travelled..season ticket holders for years with Uof M Tigers....UT football fan..regular caller to sports radio shows...lettered in tennis, still play golf ,have 2 beautiful adult daughters and won beauty pageants when I was a young thing. Oh, I used to watch the NFL with my Dad in the 60's and 70's.
Sports has always been a part of my life and I don't mind giving my opinion...here,radio,newspaper. PSD has been tolerant to ignoring of my posts, but I don't care. I love the NBA and love the game. And there's a ton of ladies in Memphis of all ages who feel the same.
