Hey everyone, we will be continuing the series to find a true top 10 list at each spot. We have just finished the 7th poll which was easily won by Josh Smith. Number 8 should prove to be wide open in terms of voting as no player other than smith last round got votes in double digits.

Please vote and be sure to make comments to who you voted for to create discussion. I have included the players that should maybe have consideration to be in the top. The rest is up to you.

Like I said before, I will add more players to the list as soon as we put another guy on the top 10 list.

PS: Please do not start any threads with the same title. I am capable of conducting the polls and completing the series of threads to find the top 10 players at each position. If I need some help I will ask for it. Thanks for your time.

An updated list of the polls we have completed can be found here..

I had to take Danny Granger at this point, I see him as an outstanding SF. Can shoot the 3, defend, take it to the basket and he is young to boot. I think he is deserving of this spot, if not here than for sure in the top 10.

I went with Granger too but Jefferson is probably more deserving.

I took Luol Deng. He's a great defender, he can shoot, he passes, rebounds, just the entire package.

no way it is jefferson. i think not many people see wallace play and he is better all around than most of these. it is him or j-ho.

For the LAST TIME... HE WAS ON THE SG LIST. HE will start the season at SG not SF. THEREFORE HE IS NOT ON THIS LIST!!

Rudy Gay is going to be an absolute superstar in a year or two. He's already better than Josh Smith, so I don't really know why Smith got #7. Jefferson is better too. But Rudy has just so much talent it's unbelievable. So I'm going to go with Gay, and in a few years he will be top 3. He's gonna be amazing.

Richard Jefferson gets the not here.

one of the most underrated players in the league. he can score with the best of them

Deng

Luol Deng.. he's 23 and has one of the best mid range games in the NBA. He's a good defender and rebounder.. a team player. He led the Bulls through a strong playoff run in 07 (22pts on 0.524fg with 9 rebounds per game). He is bringing Basketball to attention in the UK and carrying the team to the olympics in 2012 (hopefully..). Deng is horribly underrated and should be considered a top 10 SF in the NBA.. he can get a lot better too.

Rudy Gay__20.1 6.2 2.0 1.4 1.0
Josh Smith 17.2 8.2 3.4 1.5 2.8 (!!!)

Rudy Gay better than Josh Smith? I don't think so. Rudy does score more, but is on a team bereft of talent. Gay may have the talent, and may be top 3 in a few years, but right now, Josh Smith is easily better. As are Luol Deng, Danny Granger, Richard Jefferson, Hedo, etc.

Entirely too much emphasis in these kind of polls is placed on scoring. Who has a bigger impact on their team? Who helps their team succeed? Who has a ring, and a gold medal? Tayshaun Prince should have been alot higher. I'd think you'd have to be an All-Star before you're ranked above one.

I looked at it like this:

I am a Lakers fan... our current SF is LO. Is LO the SF i'd want from that list? No.

Who would I rather have in place of LO? RJ? Maybe, but I think RJ is the type of player who does better on a struggling team than on a strong team.

Tayshaun Prince was the only other player I'd take in place other than LO.

Also, I still can't believe Artest is ranked higher than Matrix... the Matrix is his equal defensively and superior offensively.

Man, the SF spot is clearly the most stacked position in the NBA.
