this is 1 scouting report for kwame brown when he entered the nba

1. Kwame Brown (6-11 240 lbs.) Glynn Academy (HS)
Positives: The most gifted player in the draft, Brown is a great
athlete with exceptional basketball skills. He can handle the ball
like a guard and has a good-looking stroke from 15 to 17 feet. Brown
also has good floor vision and passes extremely well. Brown is
currently at his best when he faces up and takes people off the
dribble using an excellent crossover dribble. Defensively, Brown is a
devastating shotblocker with superb leaping ability, timing and reach.
Because of his combination of size, strength and skill, Brown is often
compared to Chris Webber and Kevin Garnett. At this point, Brown has a
much more NBA-ready physique than Garnett had coming out of high
school.
Negatives: Unfortunately, Brown does not enjoy posting up offensively
and takes far too many three-pointers. Despite Garnett-level skills,
Brown has yet to demonstrate the burning competitiveness that Garnett
exhibited at the same stage of development.
Prognosis: Perhaps the best way to describe Kwame Brown is to say that
he has the frame and physical skills of an Antonio McDyess and the
basketball skills of a young Danny Manning. Brown could develop into a
potential franchise player if he works hard on his game. Peak
Projection: 22 ppg 10 rpg 4 apg 2.5 bpg

Wow. Kwame shooting too many threes   Didn't anyone notice that Kwame couldn't catch the ball and only converted about 30% of his layups and dunks?

Handle the ball like a guard...good looking stroke from 15-17

The guy was lucky to catch a pass and make a layup on a putback. I never once saw a glimmer of these skills when he was a Laker. A gifted physique and a solid defender yes. But he was trash on offense. This scout must have seen someone else.

Everytime I went to a Laker game you could see Kwame draining jumpers from everywhere during warmups. He really does have a nice stroke, I dont know what happens to him once the game gets heated

He can't take the pressure of playing for a great franchise.

The scout was scouting him correctly based on high school career. He just didn't live up to it in the NBA.

I wonder what kept Washington and Chicago from drafting Pau Gasol, and let two HS prospects be taken before when he was the reigning Finals Mvp of a top pro league in europe....

My highschool basketball team was a bunch of short white guys. Our tallest player was 6'6". That should give you some idea.

If he does, I think I will kill myself. But I know it won't. I have some feeling about him being like Deron Williams with a shot almost as good as Deron's as he develops it. He has dynamic athletic ability and can read defenses perfectly. I bet you wish this happens so you can tell people you knew OJ Mayo was better than Derrick Rose. To bad it's not happen, I hope.:p

Yeah he's skill set is kinda a cobonation of Webber and Manning. I can't blame anyone for taking Kwame but he was known to be a project this report sounds like it was written by his agent
