I was reading some posts the other day while I was listening to some tunes and I started to wonder what some of the music you guys listen too... specifically any favorite bands.

My fav band is Disturbed. I listen to bands like Skillet, Submersed, Staind,
3 Doors Down, Three Days Grace and Breaking Benjamin.

Please refrain from just stating the genre of music by saying rap or rock.

Be specific.

Simple Man; made for radio, not his best, but probably his most popular
Every Word; my favorite...

He's not Jay-Z, but he is my friend, so I try to pimp his stuff out...

Sublime is the best band ever, 2pac and Nas are the best rappers ever and the Grateful Dead (and jambands in general) are the absolute ****.

So, wow, I am the odd man here.

I like Rascall Flatts and Maroon 5. I like Outkast, to.

Although I use to listen to DMX when I was in HS, so I like their not-new stuff. In fact, things change a lot. I used to listen to county, then Metalica and AC/DC, then rap. I am not crazy into music, though. I have to listen to clean stuff now, as I usually have at least one kid in the car, so my wife forbids some music.

I use to go to their concerts when Jerry Garcia was alive just to buy large amounts of acid. That's right, I was a hustler like that.

oh man you don't know how much i envy you right now!

I make the 6 hour trip a couple times a year to a music festival called schwagstock in the middle of the Ozarks that an awesome GD coverband puts together. I saw you like the doors too... last time i went, Moonlight Drive (a Doors tribute band) was there and they sounded EXACTLY like them, one of the best shows i've ever seen.. I couldn't even imagine a better Jim impersonation. Anyways if you're into that type of thing you should definitely check it out, I have the best weekend of my life every time I go there and its worth the drive no matter how far you have to go!

Grateful Dead- I use to go to Oakland and San Francisco to purchase sheets that went for $40.00. I'd get at least 10 sheets. With 100 tabs per sheet and selling each tab for $5.00, business was booming.

The Doors- Wild Child is the best cover band I've ever seen. I seen them a couple times at the House of Blues in Los Angeles and Anaheim. You should check them out, they're the next best thing hands down.
