After the three preasons games I noticed that we have to work on many things such as our special teams not so much of the returns but the defense of special teams and other things....but our WR crews whinch was one of our weakness the last few years(basically after T.O. left) looks to be improving and improving fast not only jmorgan but hill and even zeigler is putting his hands on the ball and keeping it this crew isnt even our starting crew but they are playing hard and i love it. just wanted to know what you guys thought bout it??

The receiving core will be better but the peole you are naming at 2nd and 3rd string guys. Our starters haven't done much. I wouldn't have a problem with Morgan being our #4 guy though.

It is still preseason and this team is not perfection. Week 3 has been a nice week. They look better. Sullivan played a nice game

I agree, our WR's are looking better and yes we do need to get our Special teams unit on track.

Youre right that they might be our second and third string guys, but in martz offense, all those guys are going to be important.

yeah i agree the ST wasn't good tonight at all, so far as coverage...but i'm not too worried about it....i think they'll turn it around by the time the season starts....that first kickoff was actually good coverage but just a poor job of tackling and wrapping up

ha, what about battle? he's ahead of lelie w/o question, and definitely hill too. im very happy with our RB situation, i'd like to keep clayton to go with foster and gore. JT did really well tonight, i was surprised. our D looked pretty good from what i saw, but our ST need a bit of work.

What about Arnaz Battle? He should be the 3 rd receiver... He is tough noy afraid to go inside... We really do not have that type of WR on the team...

As long as he dont have any gator handing wr's(djack, brandon lloyd) in the season, i dont care who's out there as long as they're making plays!
i like hill in the slot, hes made a case for me the last 2 games, to believe in him again..morgan/battle can definitely be a solid number 2/3..and bruce a decent number 1.. i cant make a case for johnson/lelie becase theyve yet to show me anything because they havent had the opportunity to do so..

^ so glad you mentioned bruce....it was nice to see him on the field tonight also, and he looked like the bruce i've always known...and i liked how he got the pass interference call on the bears DB.....that's the kind of veteran wideout we needed, not DJack

Look for the niners to hold on to 5 receivers

1. Bryant Johnson (big receiver, has all the tools)
2. Isaac Bruce (maybe let go after this season)
3. Josh Morgan (Quickly becoming #2, eventual #1)
4. Jason Hill (3rd down specialist/special teams)
5. Arnaz Battle (3rd down specialist/special teams)
(Zeigler to practice squad, if not picked up after roster cut).
Lelie is *** out of luck....

PTS 25.7 (3rd)
YDS 349.7 (9th)
PASS YDS 233.7 (7th)
RUSH YDS 116.0 (12th)

The number in ( ) is the NFL ranking

This is my whole point, u know, they are not even are starters. The starters have been on the bench nursing injuries. When we have second and third and practice squad recievers coming out performing like that it gets me excited because its like sending the starters a message yall better come out and play cus us as second group are playing our ***** off. Now I know, I might be getting a little to excited (like i do every year especially when we always win the openers) but i need something to get excited bout hopefully they continue they're play and press the starters to be even better.

so this year the offense should be around 20th. our Defense is middle of the pack around 15th. sounds like a wildcard year.

QB: Martz will get the best out of any QB. Look at Bulger he goes to show that if you know his system you can do good no matter how much they might suck

RB: Gore could be the Marshall Faulk of past

WR Bryant Johnson is going to have a break out year, former 1st round pick playing to prove himself. the guy is talented. Vet poss. receiver who just happens to be one of the best all-time (Bruce). a vertical threat that martz should utilize in 4-5 WR set (Lelie). and some young guys making there own arguments

TE: speed receiver with a corr. who loves TE's (Davis)

DL: A solid End (smith) with a couple 3-4D type gap stuffers

OL:The wild card. average at best.

LB: young, fast, and with Spikes a little tougher

Secondary: good speed and tough with one shut down corner (Clement)

Mike Martz could have an offense better then last year if he had a monkey behind center.

i really dont care where we rank as long as its midpack and we're winning games..

i say we go:
1. Johnnie Morton
2. Curtis Conway
3. Brandon Lloyd
4. Antonio Bryant.
Wow weve done a good job replacing Jerry Rice and T.O ha. But yea our wrs will all get their chances in Martz's system, thats why this corps could be perfect, cuz we don't have a distinct #1 to go to or to look for first. Whoevers open or running their routes will get the ball, huge. and VERNON.

Why do you think ALex smith is not our starter at the moment, this is why he is sitting. In Martz system YOU DO NOT wait for a guy to get open, you throw the ball to where the WR should be and basiclly hope he runs he route right.

1) QB must get rid of ball once he drops
2) all WR have to be good route runners
