Just forget the idea of us picking up Bolden. Its nearly impossible for the Chiefs to do that IMO.

It could happen. He is young, a great reciever, and would bring this offense to a whole nother level. Ya i know about the front office and not giving up a first rounder. but anything can happen in the NFL.

Just the fact that our team is rebuilding scares off alot of players. The Chiefs will never get the deal done. Herm wants his draft picks. Yea he is a great reciever who would take this offense to a new level. But i just dont see any possible way in my mind how he could get traded to KC.

yeah, heard it from Rust, and more often than not, hes got some type of info that is legit. However, This is a must win game, we should get a good look at what our offense and defense will look come this season. However, their is also a few injuries that will **** it up, which sucks. Im glad Dorsey and the whole D-line will play, but the LBs are knicked, the secondary is fine, and im excited to see the 2 rooks play. Offensively, Albert still isnt healthy, McIntosh, surprise surprise is injured and is a gameday decision. Herb has filled in nicely for us at LT, and im def. not worried about that. Franklin is injured, and that sucks, I wanted to see the kid play, whose taking his spot anyways? RBs, LJ should get quite a few carries, but i doubt he gets a full load, KS and hopefully savage and charles will get quite a few carries. I want to see them return Punts this week, NOT KICKOFFS, because that means we let the other team score. Not cool in my books lol. STs needs to cover alot better than they have been, im fine with our return teams, but, they still need some help IMO. However, its alot better than last years for sure. We WIN THIS ONE BY 10, we are up by 2 scores by the end of the 3rd quarter.

Well, I don't think we can brag about scoring so much on the Bears in the 1st game. The only offense worse than ours last year, the Niners, put up 37 against DABEARS :laugh2:

were making Miami look better than they are playing, its just Bowe drops balls, Darling doesnt run routes right, and McIntosh cant pass protect.

KC has allways had a split personality. I wish the other one would have shown up tonight. This sucks. I hope something positive happens in the second half. Maybe we can hang our hat of on the fact that they didn't game plan for this game.

Kcfanbaby212*
08-23-2008, 09:03 PM
so...this is what Ive gotten out of the first half, McIntosh sucks, and gets injured to often, Barry Richardson is looking decent, but by no means good. Herb Taylor got beat on one play, so hes looking solid. However, our O-line doesnt know how to play a 3-4 and the blitzing LBs that are coming, which is leading to alot of hits on Croyle and alot of bad plays. Tony Gonzalez was called for Off. Pass Interference, which was Total BS, but none the less, was another penalty for gonzo that killed a drive. LJ started off hot,but since we cant establish a passing game, no run game...O yeah, did I mention, 2 times darling ran the WRONG route, which lead to 1 pass almost being intercepted. Bowe dropped a ball, but has caught them all sicne then, which isnt much, because Croyle is on his back more often. Defensively, no QB pressure really, and Dorsey is unstoppable against the run, and hes been getting, somewhat pressure. Seems to be alot of lack of communication in the secondary, which leads to alot of missed assignments, and wide open guys. Our Goalline stand was pretty awesome tho, but defensively, we cant get off the field, and offensively, we cant stay on the field. Alot like last year...its pathetic really.Preifer should get fired, he cant do anything right, and ST has been pretty pathetic.

Who do you see as the #2 and #3 WR's and please don't say Darling!!!!!!

Kcfanbaby212*
08-23-2008, 09:50 PM
darling cant even run the right routes, I would like to see Frankling, but as a reality, its going to be Darling, but franklin next year will be pushing for the #2, and Price will be an interesting deal....

redross006
08-23-2008, 09:58 PM

(or not playing as it were!!!!!)

Kcfanbaby212*
08-23-2008, 09:59 PM
yeah, well who else is going to push him? Franklin is hurt, and Price plays mostly against backups, sure hes a good player, but Darling is the #2. Franklin had the only legit chance to push Darling, but he is hurt and cant play

Kcfanbaby212*
08-23-2008, 10:00 PM
as you can see, Huard is scared to throw the ball away....which leads to more sacks than needed...

behind 2 Probowl WRs.....

redross006
08-23-2008, 10:06 PM
I just think that the best players should play and Darling looks the worst IMO. If we are truly gonna go with youth then I say go with Franklin and Price, because it's not as if Darling is gonna make us a better team anyway.

Kcfanbaby212*
08-23-2008, 10:10 PM
well, he could, but we need to get out of the vanilla offense. rust you are going to watch the replay and you are going to say Croyle over threw him, truth is, everytime he threw to Darling, he ran the wrong route, and its evident, him and croyle arent on the same page. How is franklin the better WR? He is injured, and cant even play? Price has looked good, but hes going against not so good corners.

Kcfanbaby212*
08-23-2008, 10:10 PM
i did get alot of posotive out of the game tho

redross006
08-23-2008, 10:11 PM
I think it should be #1 Bowe, #2 Franklin(when healthy), #3 Price, And #4Webb. If we keep more than that I say let Darling and Sippio fight it out. Whats your take?

redross006
08-23-2008, 10:13 PM
Man I really like Savage

Kcfanbaby212*
08-23-2008, 10:14 PM
no way, Darling has more talent, and a better understanding of the game as of now than Franklin, and Price, but, next season, they will push him, very much. Yeah, I think Savage solidified his spot

redross006
08-23-2008, 10:19 PM
We will just have to agree to disagree on Darling. I don't see him as aguy with that much upside in the long run. All i can say is what the F U K???? KC just didn't show up tonight. Having Franklin hurt didn't help the O. By the way Franklin would have beat Darling the hell out tonight!! Its a shame. I understand why Darling couldn't push anyone in Baltimore now. He runs a 4.3 and cant get seperation. I cant even understand that, Darling could run circles around Sippio and Sippio has been open more than Darling. The line had problems tonight and i'm afraid they are going to exposed as the season goes on. Our Special teams have major problems!! We are going to have one of the best run defenses in the NFL. Flowers showed up and Carr finally got a pick. The Corners is finally solid. Except for the boneheaded play down on the 2 Savage showed up. It doesn't help when Cottam, Franklin, Albert, Mcintosh, D. It would seem that way, but with a gameplan and opening up the offensive playbook, that will all change. we will have ups and downs all season, so, we need to get used to it, what i cant stand is, STs,its been pathetic all preseason, except on returns, I think weve done decently on those.

Well Darling was running bad routes, yes the O-line looked terrible, but dont forget, it was a 3-4 and they hadnt played against that for a LONG time, the 2nd half adjustments showed on the O-line, Croyle had time, lanes were opening up for the run game, and Barry Richardson, what a badass, he allowed no pressures and was opening up run lanes. Hes pushing mcintosh, which wont be hard, his achiles tendon is messed up now. Flowers showed up bigtime tonight, not picks, but not catches either. Carr showed up and im excited to see him overtake surtain. DJ looks to be poised to EXPLODE this year, he was all over the place. Cottam, Franklin, and Charles were def. missed, especially Cottam. However, Dorsey was awesome, stuffing the run and knocking the **** out of Ricky Williams for a 1 yard loss. I see morgan taking over Pollard at some point, Pollard just wasnt quick enough to the holes. When our LBs are healthy, we will be solid. Hali wasnt dominated by Long, he actually was beating him a couple of times. Its obvious that Darling and croyle are not on the same page. As for the game next week, Starters need to be in their til halftime IMO, or if they can get 2 good drives consecutively. Waters didnt seem to upset, he said its a vanila playbook, and alot of it was just mental errors. Gameplanning will be crucial this year, as will ball control, and ST WTF. I can def. see us being top 5 run defense, without that long 21 yard run, Williams wouldnt have even reached 30 yards rushing.

Yes, Jay Feely will sign this week!!!

I agree on ST's. How did Pfiefer ever got a job in any aspect of football(pro, college, high school,or pop warner is beyond my comprehension) I also think that the starters should get significant playing time next week against the Rams. Let's just hope the Chiefs show up and the injury bug stays home.

Hali did pretty well against Long. Hali didn't give up many runs and got some pressure on the QB. It just seems Hali is about a Half Step from getting to the QB. Richardson is one hell of a run blocker he just has to work on his feet. We need Barry Bad. Big Macintosh is going to be hurt alot. Once Albert gets back the RT will probally be Herb unless Barry has another solid outing next week. Dorsey was awesome!! Drawing Doubles and that is going to spring a linebacker loose when he get to the regular season. He was in the backfield alot making ricky alter his run. DJs going to the Pro Bowl this year. If Darling doesnt get this god damn system down with his routes, he is going to go Napolian Harris on us and be runnin with the 3rd string O. Savage earned his spot on this team. BJ Sams..ACL buddy..we gotta split :(. Manderino..why the hell cant he pass protect? He always blocks the WRONG guy. Branden Carr int. was pretty sweet. I think my biggest concern is being a team thats inconsistant on offense. The D really didnt do to bad with the fact the Chiefs had several 3 and outs. Honustly..you cant leave the D out on the field for 3/4 of every fukin quarter. With the way they played tonight..Branden Flowers or Branden Carr will be the team leader in TDs.

Manderino probably wont make the first cuts..IMO, cox is without a doubt the only legit FB on the team. Darling is struggling badly, but, once the season opens up, we shal see.

Manderino's not that bad on Madden  lol..Mike Cox like you said is the best FB on this team. As for the kicking situation..i still like connor barth. Nick Novak should be cut..and if Barth misses 2 field goals or more his first 2 games..pick up Jay Feeley.

Mitch Holthus couldnt have said it any better, SOMEONE HAS TO STEP UP AS A #2 WR. Darling isnt cuttign it, and I dont thikn Price can do it yet, I think Franklin could, but hes out of the question with that injury.

Yea i remember saying Franklin could be our #2 WR but for learning purposes and such will be the slot. Maybe Darling could be more productive as the slot? Price will be a good #4 reciever IMO. He can battle that out with Webb. If D Bowe ever goes down..hell will arive in KC's passing game im affraid.

Well..theres no point in runnin your routes at 100% when its preseason and your QB is going down or gettin rushed being forced to throw it away almost every play.

Guys, we have to remember we have a very young team and we should not have high expectations this coming season....I realize some of us Cheifs' fans have been spoiled with our success of the early 2000s, but we should just watch the young guys mature and learn from their mistakes...

We have some very good veterans on this team that will help our young guys mature...ie..TG/LJ/Surtain/etc..

I think we are in for a long season, but I can't wait to watch this young defense progress throughout the year..We will be back in a couple of seasons..Need one more good draft..

or you could try to be the playmaker that they brought you in to be, and run your routes correctly and help your QB..

you have only looked good in preseason, you know back in the 90s when the Cowboys were amazingly good, they lost every single preseason every year they won the SB? Your guys look good against preseason minded teams, meaning, no gameplan, vanilla offense, and for us, fairly injured.

I understand that, but you would like to see atleast 1 successfull thing from your offense, and the on time we did, Herm pulled them right after that. I hope he certainly plans on playing our starters next week, they def. need it.

Davard Darling is showing us all that he isnt a playmaker and is nothing more than a #3 WR. I really doubt Tony G lost a step. We just played bad as a team last night.

Glad I don't watch pre-season games. They're awful. Especially when the jackasses start challenging :pity:

the most dissappointing thing i watched in this game, was that we looked slow...like a team full of old-timers. not quick and aggressive like a young team should be. :sigh:

also, i saw a lot of apparent confusion on offense, and croyle looked scared...instead of confident. in general....not good at all.

well defensively I thought we looked pretty good, except the opening drive, and their were a couple of times that Pollard missed his gap, or was too slow to get to it, Morgan could do it if he cant fix it. Flowers looked specacular, and did Carr, surtain, what a beast, he was making plays left and right, but I still think hes got little left to offer. Derrick Johnson was good, but the fact that we are missing a starter on the LBs hurts him a bit. Dorsey, and Tank, WOW, THEM 2 WERE BEAST AGAINST THE RUN.
