I'm not saying he will, but saying he won't is a little dunb. He had as good of a chance as anyone.

Agreed he does have a good shot, but I am just saying IMO that he wont repeat.

Fair enough. Is it just a feeling or do you have an actual reason though?

it may be a thread about a Laker, but maybe he wants NBA fans' opinions, not just LA fans. Obviously, everybody in the Lakers' forum is going to say yes he will repeat. Either answer the question he's asking, or don't reply at all.

As a Laker fan, I say he will win it only if the Lakers win the West again.

Chris Paul..........

I think he will. Course I am a Lakers fan. IDK. I think it will be a tougher decision next year than this year for the voters. Being that the voting is now done largely on team accomplishment though, it will be tough for Kobe to repeat.

Yes I do have a reason. CP3, D-Wade, LJ23 are contenders to be MVP. Along with some who will be up there. His Name is Amare Stoudemire! Look at his nbrs when Shaq was aquired when there was only 35+ games left, he elevated his game to a whole nother level with Shaq in Phx! Now imagine how he will look with Shaq here for the whole entire year! Amare is a top 3 contender to take Kobe's Crown! No one can deny that!

No way.....LeBron rules
Thanks to Olympics, fans have got to see the stars playing side by side against the same teams.
Lebron is obviously much better & Wade is playing better than kobe, also.

no way, he was only given it because he is considered the best in the league. CP3 deserved it more this past year.

he has as good as chance as anyone, he is an elite player, if chris paul has the same year or better as last year he will get it......but then again if the lakers click and they have some absurd record i could see kobe repeat.

No i dont think so theres alot of other players that have good chances of winning the NBAs most valuable player of the year i think it will be Chris Paul if not Cp3 then it should be Dwyane Wade, Dwade by the way has been amazing in the olympics hes gonna be MVP of the olympic gold medal mvp when Usa wins it.

No simply because the writers looked at it as a "lifetime achievement" award. I'm not saying he didn't deserve it because I think he did but on several shows some of the guys that voted said that was the logic behind giving it to him as opposed to CP3.

So my opinion he wont get it this year, but he has just as good a shot as anyone, and being the best player in the world certainly doesn't hurt anything.

I dont see why ppl are saying just No. Well i kinda do cause all he said to say was yes or no, but I think it will be between Kobe,Lebron,Paul and Amare. so that 25% per person so i would say he has a good shot at it. Amare is my wildcard cause if the Suns do good ppl will be surprised cause they are ranked liek 6-7 int he West by most ppl and I think Shaq will help Amare down low enough to get MVP consideaction.

T-Mac? ..Funny...im sure he will never win MVP and a championship..he doesnt have that mental power

RapsFan4Life
08-19-2008, 08:46 AM
with his overall playing as of lately in the playoffs and in the olympics i hope he doesnt get another mvp
he is playing like garbage ... i dont think anyone should get mvp for the next 5 years expect Lebron and Chris Paul, it should be those two guys running their clubs with MVP's back and fourth
Dwight and Bosh and Elton and Amare and Dwayne will all be in the top ten in MVP votes

but seriously if kobe wins it this year without breaking the Bulls 72 win season .. im not going to watch nba again !

I really think the MVP this year will go to a player who has never won the award. I really cant see Kobe repeating as MVP this season.

CowboysKB24

Here it is simple

If the Lakers are number one in the west again and Kobe has good numbers he will win again. He got it last year because he was the best player on the best team in the best conference. If he does the same next year why wouldn't he?

CowboysKB24
08-19-2008, 10:46 AM
and of course everyone is going to say NO because most hate Kobe. If he wins the West and plays GREAT like he has for his whole career then he will win again. Unless some one has an outrageous season. CP3 had one of the best season a PG ever had and still didn't win it because they weren't in first.

good question, but voters will have a hard time giving Kobe 2 MVPs. unless Kobe has a monster season, he won't get MVP. and Kobe is not gonna have his best season. he's worn out, with the finals and summer olympics and all...
