View Full Version : What do you people think on the Knicks this year?

I want to see how Non Knicks fans rate our roster.

i think you guys have a good roster, but marbury and isaiah were killing you. now you got a new coach just get rid of marbury and they probably will be a 7 or 8 seed team.

i think 'better luck next year' when those expirings drop and you can actually get some people worth while you'll be ok again. or maybe even deal those expirings for some quality players to people who want to make a run for the 2009 and 2010 f/a.

good news is only place to go now is up. i dont think you can go much further down. getting rid of marbury and isaiah was a great start though.

Definite Lottery...they might get Demar Derozan

It deppends a whole lot on Dantoni, if he can convince those players that they are talented and were supposed to be studs not so long ago and can teach them how to play team basket, then i could see them getting into the playoffs.

If bad relationships, egos and underperforming goes on, lottery again.

I can see One Trick D'Antoni getting the Knicks at least 35 wins.
He will pick and choose when to really push the tempo, and on some nights just playing hard and fast from the start will be enough.
This is especially true when the other team is on the 2nd half of a back to back, or towards the end of a road trip.

His style is suited to picking up wins in the regular season, but I don't quite think it will be enough to get to the play offs this year.

haha the knicks

The Knicks need to unload some of the deadweight they have on their team. I am dissapointed to see the Knick franchise struggle like this, I miss the playoff games in Madison Square Garden. MSG is the best place to watch and play games. I remember Jordan and Miller back in the day relishing the idea of playing Ewing and the Knicks. I hope Walsh can turn the Knicks franchise back around.

The Knicks need a marquee player like Kobe, Lebron, Wade, Howard, etc.. I would like to see them get back to respectability.

Yes they are missed

for me there are certain teams that should ALWAYS be on the playoffs.

East: Knicks,Celtics,Bulls,Knicks,Pistons,Sixers.

West: Lakers,Blazers,Suns,Jazz, and sadly gone Sonics.

Exactly, the playoffs don't feel the same without those teams. I think you missed one team and that's Indiana.

Now we shall see what kind of coach is D'antoni??!!

08-18-2008, 05:46 AM
In the east, knicks can scratch their way to at least the 8th seed possibly. You don't even need a record of .500 for that usually.

Lottery lottery clay pottery.

You diffinaly inpoved........now that Isaha and marbury are out of the mix....they do have some talent, and Dantoni will bring a pass first mentality to a team that needs it.......I also like the rookie they got this year, and he's only 19....I think there team will be much inproved, but it will be hard to get in to playoffs, because they east got alot better.

08-18-2008, 08:04 PM
lottery imo. they could maybe battle for the 8th spot but i see bucks HEAT hawks and pacers having better records. i dont think they ar better than those for teams and then there are 7 other teams better than that...bostan detroit orlando toronto philly cleveland washington. need i say more?

08-18-2008, 08:15 PM
im not a knicks fan but i remember seeing how hard they play against the pistons. they can be better in a few years but intil then, they are most likely a lottery team. the east if getting better and better every year.

08-18-2008, 08:19 PM
I dont see the Knicks winning more then 30-35 games either..Yes D'Antoni's system will put more points on the board but lets face it the East has alot more defensive scratch it out type teams (Boston, Detroit, Cleveland, Philly) who like to keep the score 80-90 so how good defensively are these guys going to be? After Lee who plays defense for this team? I just dont see it, maybe they will make a fool of me but the formula isnt adding up for me..I see one cat that might do good things in D'Antoni's system and that is sharpshooter Anthony Roberson...But as some one said once they dump these salaries and pick up some quality big men and some free agents watch out...

08-18-2008, 08:40 PM
i don't.

My mother said if I can't say anything nice I shouldn't say anything at all.

this is basically the same team from last year that went 23-59.

D'Antoni's style is run-and-gun, which means more possessions per game, which means more chances for the Knicks' lack of talent to come through.

Their two biggest moves were picking Gallinari (good move) and replacing Marbury with Duhon (bad move).

They'd be lucky to scratch 30 wins on the year unless moves are made.

Naw as long as you people get rid of Marbury i see you people as a 8th seed, you just have to hope that D tony can help get Currys fat *** to Hustle. O yeah and keep Zach out of trouble.

Marbury isn't a knick?

08-18-2008, 09:10 PM
Lottery lottery clay pottery.

That was beautiful:clap:

08-18-2008, 09:21 PM
going to be last place in the east. 2nd or 3rd worst record in the NBa

08-18-2008, 09:23 PM
Lee, Randolph, Duhon, Crawford, Gallinari isn't that bad plus Q rich nate and Curry off the bench, they could get the 8th seed depending how well they mesh together and play in Dantoni's system.

Marbury is a Knick.
