do you think they gave kobe the mvp trophy last year because of a life-time achievment award or because he deserved it?? and do you think he will repeat or at least win another one or no more mvp's?:confused:

There's no doubt he deserved it, but if he was a young 3th year player like Paul and put up the same numbers, CP3 would have won. But Kobe has been great for such a long time and never won, and he had another terrific season, so he deserves it.

Man, I hate complementing Kobe.

I hope he never wins another :D

He led the Lakers to the best record in a very tough western conference.

He deserved, but only by a little. The MVP race came down to one game Lakers vs. Hornets. I think the Hornets wins this one, CP3 becomes MVP.

kobe deserved it, simply because of all the years, BUT he didnt deserve it last year, chris paul totally shouldve won the mvp. but i think they just assumed 'well kobes played for so any years blah blah blah, cp3 still is young blah blah blah' shouldve went to cp3.

i think he deserved it but i dont think he'll win another one look how long it took him to win his first.

exactly. hes a great player, one of the best etc... but i think his time as the 'top player in the game today' is over. its lebrons time. i even think lebron otuplayed kobe last year personally. lebron was so close to triple dooubles almost every game and got like 4-5. i think it was more of a pity thing/appreciation for what kobe has done for the game more than a deserved thing. to me kobe was kinda 3rd on the list cp3. lebron, THEN kobe.

Theres no doubt he deserved it but it was a tight race between him and CP3

Kobe deserved it. I mean look what he did with his team of average players. CP3 has quite a handy crew behind him to make him look better.

He deserved it. But I wouldn't had mind if CP3 won either.

with bynum << a big piece of the lakers going down and kobe as a captain keeping his team together ... he deserved it and cp3 did not take over games as much as kobe did .. cp3 had a good team and he will have his time to shine .. sooner rather then later, cp3 will not finish his career without an mvp. but for the next couple years i think LBJ just works way to f*ckin hard on a bull ***** team .. he really deserves an MVP !! if dwayne can take his team far and play like he is in the olympics he will get it, and if Chris Bosh or Dwight Howard takes their team over 62 wins or 1st in the East, they deserve it

I think he deserved it, but part of me believes it was a life time achievement award. He's been the best player in the game for a long time now. It would have been weird if he went his whole career without getting an MVP award at least once in his career.
