i just want to know what people on the psd think of west. he had a great year last year and i thought he could become one of the better power forwards in the league but i have seen on alot of forums that people think he is just a product of cp3's amazing play. so whats the peoples view on david west. is he very good or does cp3 just make him look good???

he's good, and cp3 helped him. West is a good PF, very good offensively. has a good jumper, can get real hot with his 15-20 footers. has decent post moves, and can get to the freethrow line just fine.

david west is good, but he's not quite all-star caliber yet.

were would people rank him in the nba at the moment? would he still put up as good numbers if cp3 wasnt there? is his a number just a result of his hard work as ability or is it all just about cp3

I would say we would be like near 9 or 10 for the top 10 PF's in the NBA.

He is a good player, but Paul helped him get better with open shots.

Paul has made him better, but he's still a great player individually

kg, duncan, bosh, amare, boozer, dirk, jamison, brand, then you can probably go with west. you could argue gasol in there too i guess. id say he is top 10 and will only move up as some of these guys get older. good player, not great yet, but could be.

In My Opinion

Duncan
Garnett
Bosh
Brand
Amare
Dirk
Boozer
Pau
and then West. So yeah he'd be #10 in the NBA. Paul helps him out greatly though.

No order: KG, TD, Amare, Dirk, Bosh, Boozer, Brand, and Pau. I'd only take 8 PFs before him.

some of you are crazy. West played awesome against DUNCAN in the playoffs. Pau is soft, West is much better than pau. I think west and boozer are pretty much even. if you switched boozer on team USA with West there wouldnt be no drop off or increase in production.

Duncan
KG
Dirk
Amare
Bosh
Brand

These 6 id take over West.

West
Boozer
Al Jefferson
Pau

thats my top 10

i agree entirely with that list. the top 6 yes and the next 4 could b debatable but i do agree that west is on the same level as those 3

Ehhh....
I wouldn't take Gasol, Jamison over West. And Brand is still pretty questionable. I think West is a 5-7 PF. West is good on his own but with Cp3's help he is great.

West is a great player who I've been pulling for since 05-06. He has always been a decent player with heaps of potential and until this season hasn't been noticed much. Sure CP3 has made him better and helped him to score this season... but he still would've been an all-star without him because he can always find a way to score. I'm just glad he's finally getting the recognition he deserves!

yes i agree finally he is getting some recognition but i hope people dont think he is just a product of cp3 and i hope they realise he can still be very good without cp3...thought he does help...ALOT!! lol

West Without CP3 Stat

Probably around 15 points 8.5 rebounds and 1 assist
points mised are from CP3 assist to him and ability to identify a mismatch for him.
The Fewer assist are due to CP3 ability to see 2 passes ahead.

West is a nice physical player that can score.

West would be a very solid PF without Paul
but like most of you i think Paul made him better
