Some folks do not know basketball. I play with a lot of folks and I am not suprised at what some call travelling. Just because you're not capable of making a move, does not mean it is travelling. In those videos, Wade never established his pivot foot......how can anyone establish pivot foot while moving with the ball? some people need to stop hating on Wade

I'm unable to see youtube at work, so I can't tell.

What play does it involve?

I think he definitely traveled the first video, and the second one is close. I would also say yes.

In the NBA that is not a travel.

Where's the poll option for who gives a ****. We all know nba players in some instances get away with travels. It happens, more often than it should. Oh well...

the nba 3 step happens ALL the time... whats the point of this? Did Wade travel ya... does everyone palm the ball and travel multiple times a game...yes. d you really want them to call all the travels... b/c itll be a 6 hour game. They call the obvious ones...

the second one for sure

i completely (with original post) agree i saw the videos and immediately thought he hasn't established anything and then read what you wrote... if what their saying in the video was true then every one of deron williams cross overs would be double dribble... planting a foot doesn't mean thats your pivot foot...

zamudio_jorge
08-15-2008, 01:07 PM
the second is good. the third step never exist because wade jump with both feet.

the first is traveling. when the guy who make the video say step 2 wade need jump, when he say step 3 the left foot of wade not touching the floor is a 3rd step.

haris23

But to honest, everyone in NBA travels once ina while.

i think in video one his left leg should be step one, he counted the pivot foot as step one so step 2 should actually be step 1. But they travel all the time in the NBA lebron does it all the time, but the NBA wouldnt call little things like that unless its extremely obvious and besides it is an entertainment sport...

08-15-2008, 01:50 PM
It is a travel on both but this happeneds ALL the time. Similar to a wide open dunk where ur allowed an extra step. If they don't call that (which they should), then this can't be cried upon too much. Plus, at normal speed, these are very tough to detect.

HELL YES!.....Who ever said no, need some thick glasses because they are blind.....probably heat fans that can't admit he traveled...I've said it before and I'll say it again, I've never seen such a player that is given so much treatment by the refs than wade.

Yes but when somebody (Wade and Lebron) makes a travelling move one of their signature moves, that's kinda sad.

no im talking abotu several shots... on a TON of his cross overs he pushed off. Just like iverson palms the ball. Just like reggie Miller threw his feet out at the defender to draw the foul. I could list these all day if I have to. The fact is that to be the best you have to find things that give you an advantage that you can get away with. all the elite players have something

your right. I didnt realize there was a difference between traveling and palming the ball or committing offensive fouls... if you are serious then :bang:. No matter what it is a player bending/breaking a rule that they know they can get away with to their advantage... If you really think there is something wrong with that then stop watching professional sports

btw... wades signature move is his crossover or step back jumpshot...

I was just about to say that Daleja. Basically everyone travels in the NBA, but the refs won't call it. It's like saying, oh Shaq got fouled in the paint or LeBron gets fouled but no call. Refs call things by how the game is going...fast breaks tend to have the most traveling, do the refs call it tho?..no because they know that every fan wants to see LeBron or Kobe or who ever do a huge dunk to pump up the crowd. Also, NBA players know they travel, but they just do it so fast and so fluidly that the first time you see it..you don't even know if he traveled or not thus you have to look a replay to determine whether it was a travel or not. So are we going to stop the game to determine the possibility of a travel? No because that would take forever. And about only Heat fans crying because Wade travels, there is a video of LeBron traveling against the wizards for the game winning shot which greatly effected the game as much as those traveling videos of Wade. Jordan traveled all the time, KG Travels, Kobe, Chauncey even Dan Majerle and there are videos to prove it just look up NBA Traveling on YouTube. So I don't want to hear anything about only Wade gets to travel because everyone in the NBA does it. I don't even know why this is even an issue.

Zefflin

Just like iverson palms the ball.

Much, much harder to see.

Just like reggie Miller threw his feet out at the defender to draw the foul.

Who cares about that, that's just smart. It's not like he's taking that same foot and taking an extra step to get around somebody...::cough::

The fact is that to be the best you have to find things that give you an advantage that you can get away with. all the elite players have something

Ok ok I'll give you that. Enjoy Wade's special little spin cheat move. Good job admiring his unbelievable skills.

yes both are travels, but many people in the nba travel. when you see it in real time its hard to distinguish because d-wade and other players are so quick when they execute there moves.

That's because you emulate the cheat Flash move...now I know why he's called The Flash. He's the fastest cheater in the nba. You need a rewind button to see him do it. Good for him.

i wanna say no. but he hops before he really gets into his move. the hop makes me inclined to say yes. he covers a lot of ground with his spin. should he not hop, then no travel definately tho

bleedprple&gold
08-15-2008, 04:32 PM
They are both travels. You cannot pick up your dribble, take a step, and then jump off of two feet. If he jumped off one foot that would be two steps total and thus no travel. It was not traveling because he established the pivot foot as the video said, which is really irrelevant here. That being said, I don't blame the refs for not calling it. He is not the only way that gets away with traveling.
