Detroit Pistons - Detroit Red Wings

Both do not have that one defining player on their respective teams.

Pistons' stars:
Wallace
Billups
Hamilton
Prince

Red Wings' stars:
Zetterburg
Datsyuk
Chelios
Osgood
Rafalski
McCarty
Draper
Holmstrom
LIDSTROM

^^ i would say zetterberg is kind of the man on the wings
and how do you mention the red wings and not mention lidstrom...
p.s., being canadian, I love how hockey is taking over the nba forum....

i agree with the montreal comparison but not leafs at all... leafs haven't won in 41 years... i'd think thier more like the mavs recently... came close in the recent past but now need to rebuild...
and oilers with bulls... had a good run when they had the best player in the game...

Yes they do. :) They're bolded.

Zetterberg and Datsyuk are two top ten players in the league. And they won a championship. Throw Hossa into that.

Colorado Avalanche-Denver Nuggets

Both were shut out by the #1 seed in the western conference in last years playoffs

Florida Panthers-Memphis Grizzlies

Both are young teams very far away from even a playoff birth.

Toronto Raptors-Toronto Maple Leafs

Both have a lot of potential..... and both... are... from.... Canada?

It's only one thread, not sure if that's what "taking over" means

mmm How Many cities do have at least one team in each of the 5 top leagues? (NBA,NHL,MLB,NFL,MLS).

Im quite sure NY has it all , Knicks,Giants,Rangers,Yankees,Metros.

But any other place?

Unfortunately, Los Angeles doesn't have an NFL team, which is a shame :pity:

???, im not much into "football" Just Basket and some Nhl, but how is it posible that the second largest city in the States has no Nfl team?

I tought there was one, i have the image in my mind from some movie, a shield with painted horns or something.

I guess im confused.

Toronto Maple Leafs would be comparable to the Lakers and Knicks in terms of wealthiest in their own leagues but in terms of mediocore you can only compare it to Knicks
