Two Absolute stars with some Good Average Starters.

Example : Cp3,A.Parker,Odom,D12,Big Ben.

Or a team of Solid , near all-star level but with no Clear "Main Guy" bunch.

Example: Calderon,Redd,Battier,Gasol,Okafor.

Generally, I would take the first option "Two Absolute Stars with Good Average Starters" which reminds me of the 3-peat Lakers.

The second one kind of reminds me of the Pistons, they can't seem to get over the top.

You always need at least one superstar in your team.

i like the first scenario better. besides the pistons all other recent champions have had a superstar or two.

Two superstars. Superstars win titles, not good "teams" with all around players. The pistons are the exception to the rule, not the rule.

KG+Pierce, Duncan, Shaq + Kobe, D-Wade + Shaq, MJ + Pippen, Hakeem, Isiah, Bird, Magic + Kareem, DR.J + Moses should I continue?

First team is amazing.
are you kidding me?

CP3 and Dwight in the same team, Anthony Parker raining 3's, Odom playing the middle man, Dwight and Wallace clogging the middle, CP3 distributing the ball, that's a championship team.

the 2nd team is good, balanced, but it's too much of a shooting team. Calderon, Redd, Battier are all shooters, and Gasol is also a semi-shooting big.

the 2nd team would be better if it was like...
Calderon, Redd, Artest, Al Jefferson, Okafor
none of them made the all-star team last season, but they're all very good players.

Disregard the examples given. Base your opinion from the team description.

IF you're going to give me two superstars, especially a star pg and C or PF, there's no way I pass that up. No way.

Its all about TEAM & CHEMISTRY!!!!

You could have the 2 best players in the NBA and average role players but if they cant co-exist it doesnt matter.

Nuggets came to my mind right after I read that. But they are only one of the very few exceptions. Which championship teams didn't have 2 stars (except for Pistons)??

I'd go for the two superstars, One being a PG and the other a C with the rest of the team filled with good average starters.

I'd go for the 2 superstars as well. And the fact they could play good D as well helps even more.

2 stars is better, stars have the ability to know their role and esspecially in the 4th they can take over a game like Dwight and Paul .. they can just dominate a game and change the game tempo or defense or something .. they have that skill and disaplin .. stars win games

He was the year they won the 'ship.

No he was not. He wasn't even an allstar. People just look at him now and make it seem as if he was a star at the time. He wasn't even close to a star.

Kobe Shaq dynasty? It was them two and bunch of average role players and they won three straight, and they did not co-exist.

They did. Their relationship outside the game was affected the the media's influence, which in turn affected their chemistry in the game during the following years.
