Ya right. According to Gasol, he was forced into taking the offensive picture after he told them it was wrong...

check out the article from the Orange County Register:

How do you get "forced" into posing for a questionable picture? This is essentially Gasol covering his rear end.

this is the picture.....

on the report it didnt seem like the spanish team knew that they would have this media all over them because of this. They said they didnt know it was going to be offensive .

they either have to be incredibly naive or incredibly stupid to not know that's offensive.

I don't think "forced" is the word, rather than "pressured".

say, the sponsor told the team to do it, and most of the guys on the team agreed, so Pau had to do it.

it's funny "Gasol says he was forced into offensive picture"

I feel like alot of people from other countries might get mad at this, but I just think alot of other countries are racist. In America it's a little harder to be racist, what does an American look like? black? white? tan? I'm not saying racism doesn't exist in America(it does) , but we are alot more accepting then other countries. In America you would never see a football game where the crowd hooted like monkeys everytime a black player touched the ball, but you will see that in Europe.

It's a different culture. The US has such a diverse mix of people, other countries are not as diverse. You have to realize that European countries have had nothing like the Civil Rights Movement in theri countries. Racism shouldn't be tolerated, but at the same time we need to understand the source of it.
