I have no beef with the list from the top. If I had to choose it would be that right there from 1-7, switching Orlando #4 and Philly #5. (Hoping JO stays healthy and Toronto gets that 3 spot.) Was and Mia will fight for #8. Wade has looked so good since the start of the the Olympic warm-ups and has shown he is that guy who won Finals MVP. I would take Wade and Marion to start my team over Arenas and Jamison so I take Miami in the 8-spot.

How come no one is give ATL any props? We lost chil but picked up evans so there's not much of a drop off. Bibby was inj and we will really see the effects of the trade this year. JJ, Smith, Hortford and Marvin are all going to be getting better. I know the east is improving but I think we have too much talent not to make the playoffs again.

How can Miami go from worst team to 4 and 5 seed on alot of these predictions. I know there aren't any of them on here yet but wait, there will be. Miami isn't going anywhere this year, just like most teams in the East.

I love how each summer before the season starts, everybody puts Cleveland as a lower 4 team in the playoff seeding...yet somehow they end up with the 3rd seed...

-healthy, 100% Dwyane Wade: see olympics.
-Addition of Mike Beasley, Mario Chalmers, and a couple good FA role players.
-most of last season was played w/ Ricky davis, j-will, shaq and D-leaguers....Wade+Marion hardly played together...but that duo (when healthy) will be great.

If Miami adds help at Center and PG...I see them jumping to a 6-8 seed.

Boston went from worst to first in one year.

i too really have no idea why the hawks dont get any love. bibby and jj are the best backcourt in the east. josh smith and horford (star in development) make the best young front court in the conference. and their swing man, williams, aint bad either. sure they have no depth...but neither did the celtics and they wont the title.

atlanta makes it.

I'm going to make a bold prediction
1. Detroit Flip Saunders was holding them back. Plus I except a good season from Rodney Stuckey.
2. Boston They did lose a big part of their bench plus the motivation is really there anymore.
3. Toronto JO will not be the main option, so he can focus on defense, Toronto's biggest flaw.
4. Magic Dwight Howard, Hedo, Jammer, Lewis, Pietrus. Good team, depends on how much Dwight improves his post game.
5. Cleveland Lenron but not a good supporting cast. He will have to do the work one again.
6. Washington They haven't really improved, while others have really improved. Still Arenas, Butler, Jamison.
7. Sixers A young team but I still don't see how they are 3rd or 4th. Brand coming from a big injury. He will be productive but don't like he was with the Clippers. Plus sign Andre Iguadala. If they don't they are out of the playoffs. Lack of outside shooting.
8. Heat. Wade is back to his old form. He will definitely be a top 5 MVP candidate maybe even top 3. And that is what Miami needs from him. Beasley is just a rookie, and most likely a 3rd option so he won't be as good as some think. Plus no PG or C, probably the most important positions on a team.
9. Atlanta. They will barely lose the 8th seed. Childress hurts. 12 ppg and 5 rpg. No real bench, no one to come in and score.
