Depends on team needs, but it is WAY too early to be speculating on who it will be. I know Blake Griffin is one of the top big men, and with Jennings in Europe Ricky Rubio will probably be the top PG choice.

Ricky Rubio if he still improves significantly until next year's draft.

Ricky Rubio if he declares for the draft this year. Then I'd say Griffin and DeRozan as a close 2nd.

Depends on the team's needs and who declares for the draft. It could be either Griffin or Rubio( if he declares).

Rubio if he declares, if not then Griffin.

Depends on needs.

If OKC lands the top pick, I would say Blake Griffin is the top pick. Because he is from OKC and currently plays at Oklahoma, also he is a big man with a lot of athleticism and really good defense.

If Memphis lands the top pick, I also see them picking Griffin, because of him being a big man and them having to many guards already.

Those 2 teams I think will have the worst record due to youth and inexperience. Both have and will have tons of talent though.

However not going by needs, I like DeRozan, Griffin and Mullens as the top prospects, depending on great college seasons of course.

Here is what NBADraft.net thinks:

If Knicks somehow lands the 1st pick I'm almost 100% sure that they'll pick Rubio because he fits perfectly in D'Antoni's system.

Yep, and the best thing about that is that Rubio is a very good defender as well.

Blake Griffin or Rubio

It should be Rubio hands down if he declares. Otherwise I think it'd be quite open, with Blake Griffin or BJ Mullens being the favourite right now.

The best thing Rubio could do is Pull a Larry Bird.

Declare but leaving cristal clear that he will remain in europe for two more seasons preparing himself.

That would drop him to a 20-30 pick so a team with enough nerve for the gamble, Lakers, Sixers, Celtics, Pistons, Spurs etc would basically get a future all-star and top 10 player in the league with a lousy pick.

The he avoids smaller markets and teams that basically seems poised to suck forever like Wolves or Grizzlies.

Of course if Knicks land the pick he should both declare and Sign.

I'll throw Hasheem Thabeet's name into the discussion. He's got as much potential as anyone else in the draft class, and if he improves over this next year like he did from his freshman to sophomore year, he's one of the clear-cut top guys available in the draft.

BJ "that's what she said" Mullens (:D), 7 foot center from Ohio State. He'll be the first pick. Here's my big board (top 10)

1) Mullens
2) Rubio
3) Griffin
4) DeRozan
5) Jennings
6) Harden
7) Thabeet
8) Damion James
9) James Anderson
10) Curry

Still Early To Tell, A Freshman Might Make Some Noice In The Coming Ncaa Season And Probably Be Like Oden, durant, mayo, beasley, etc.

but right now here is my top 5 in no particular order
- Stephen Curry
- Demar DeRozan

I hope your kidding about Hansbrough, and Curry. Hansbrough is at best a late first round pick. He's old compared to the rest of the class at 22, he has little potential. He's gonna be an energy guy off the bench in the NBA. Curry's draft status will drop, he's like top 15 only because of his amazing NCAA tourney performance. Again he is old compared to the rest of the class, and I don't think he can duplicate or improve his NCAA tourney performance.

im serious, so what if theyre older by what? like 1 or 2 years?

DaddyCool

3 years. Teams want younger guys with POTENTIAL. I love Pycho-T's heart but he has very little potential. Curry doesn't have the highest ceiling either.

Can Tyler Hansbrough still make himself eligible for next years draft?
If so I think he might be a pretty high draft pick.

I think people will bite on Jennings. Derozan will be top 3 and rubio will be top 7. Kid is gonna be sick.

Blake Griffin easy. That man will turn heads this year w/ a Beasley type season.

i think Demar Derozan might not be the first pick, by i think he's by far the best talent, and is going to be the best player in the long-run
