Hey Im just curious. After watching the USA play China who do you guys think is going to be the next chinese star, Yue or Yi? I personally think its yue cuz Yi doesnt seem like a hardworker ot motivated.

Yi will get more minutes in New Jersey...Yue will be buried on the Lakers bench. I say Yi, at least for next season.

yay... another Lakers ego boost thread.....

in any case Yi has more potential and he seems like he can make a real impact with the Nets....

I will take the guy who has at least proven he will have an NBA career, since he is actually in it. Sun looked lost out there. Sure he hit a couple open jumpers, but I wasn't impressed at all.

sun had a better game, but i cant say much about him having only seen him play once. all I know is that yi got critisized a lot by yao and doesnt seem motivated...that being said yi was picked top 5 and i think i read that sun was a second rounder. a few second rounders become all stars but i gotta go w the top 5 pic

Yi Jianlian will be starting

neither.... over rated due to there being so few asian players on NBA rosters.

I'd take Marbury lol over Sun, and charles oakley out of retirement over Yi

Yi will be the better of the two, but I don't think either of the two will do anything worthy.

08-11-2008, 03:23 PM
Yi will be better. He looks as if he can be a really good player.

08-11-2008, 03:37 PM
Has to be Yi because he's already shown he can atleast get NBA minutes. I don't see either being very successful though.

You lose any props for it being WWE related.

Both of them will probably end up like Wang ZhiZhi...I am a fan of Sun Yue though

Yue showed me a lot with that block on Dwight Howard yesterday. I jumped off the couch..You just don't see D 12 get his **** thrown like that.

It was one play but still it showed me a lot.

YI has already shown flashes at the NBA level so you have to give him the nod right now. But I see Yue developing into a Toni Kukoc like player for us Lakers

Yi Jianlin

08-11-2008, 05:48 PM
If Yue was quicker i'd say him. But he's a slow as hell. I love his game though. Yi will eventually be better IF he gets his head right. If Yi had the motivation of Yao, this wouldn't even be a question. But he doesn't and therefore it is.

Yao, Yue, Yi, Yae, Chi, Wong....it is all the same ****

Yi looks like crap. I don't think either of them will do much in the NBA. They'll probably both be back in China in 3-5 years. But there is no doubt that Sun Yue looked better in the Olympic opener.

Yao, Yue, Yi, Yae, Chi, Wong....it is all the same ****

just wait until a Chinese person sees this

08-11-2008, 07:32 PM
Yi, because he's at least played shown some game in the NBA.

I dont think Yi will be anything... at all in the league. I was a fan when he was drafted.... But not anymore. He doesnt play with enough heart.

Yi Jianlin easy
