his will be a series of polls to get a true top 10 list at each spot.

I completed a list of top PG's by votes, Let head over to the SG's. Now I am going to skip number 1 as Kobe is the MVP and bother to waste time and debate another SG is better than him. Plus every list I have seen starts with im at the top. Number 2 was a wash so Wade was declared the early winner.

There are a lot of players to be picked from, Please pick the best player. some of the guys on the list could play SF but many have played mostly SG over the last few years..

1) Kobe Bryant
2) Dwayne Wade
3)
4)
5)
6)
7)
8)
9)
10)

Don' Forget to vote and make comments!

No way we should skip 3.. its should be a competition between Ai, Tmac, Vince...

I hope that thread about why carter should be at the same level as tmac.. finally comes into hand.. I'm pretty sure most ppl will vote tmac cause most people like him better...

I think Ai truly does deserve number3... hes put up better numbers than vince and tmac... and hes been to the Finals.. For his size... Its amazing what he has done.. No way in hell should tmac get the nod over AI...

I wouldnt ming if tmac got 4 .. cause i know peoples opinions on carter.. but carter should not be lower than 5 on that list ...

No way Ray allen is ahead of Vince... Although I am a vince fan... i a, not going to be bias.. my list

3) Allen Iverson- Career - 27.7 ppg...6.3 assits pg.. 3.8 rbpg..2.3 stls pg.. .
.426 fg% ...314 3p%... .78 Ft%... Won the ECF...MVP.. THose are some great numbers .. Hes deserves # 3 hands down..

4) Vince Carter- career-23.8 ppg...4.2 assist pg..5.5 rbpg..1.3 stleas pg........
.447 FG%.... .375 3pt%.... .794 Ft% Also great numbers
Deserves #4.. Took team 1 game within the ECF...

5) Tmac- career- 22.4 ppg... 4.7 assists pg.. 6.2 rpg...1.3 stealspg ..... .437 fg%... .3337 3pt% .. .747 Ft%.....Also great numbers
Deserves # 5.. Been to the 1st round of playoffs many times.. never past that...

To me AI's numbers clearly stand out the best out of the three and he has done more wiinning than the other two... Not to mention he has been an MVP

Cater and Tmac have almost identical numbers... they flip flop in certain categories but by barely....Carter is the best shooter out of all three.... tmac and carter have a nice all around game... I give the nod to carter b/c his numbers are a bit more impressive to me with the Shooting percentages as him and kobe have some pretty impressive shooting numbers...

I also give carter the nod because he played mroe playoff games than tmac has.. and has been further in the playoffs... But its a toss up i guess.

At least someone else voted for Manu, he is my guy but hey its an opinion.
Manu is great, I have him on my Mock and ReDraft team but I can't see him being a better player than Iverson and McGrady right now. He's definitely a lock for 5th in my book though.

J-N-M-ETS4LYF
08-08-2008, 11:49 AM
Not to mention Ai and Vince have stayed much more healthier than Tmac has as well... Tmac 5th on my list as well.. Just hasn't done enough as much as i like him.. I think Ai has done the most.. His number clearly say so... Then I say Vince.. I think he has proven more than tmac has.. Been further in the playoffs.... similiar numbers but slightly better shooting numbers... Which is essential in a SG lol..

Avergaed gamed played in a season the last 4 years:
Carter : 78.5
IVerson : 73.5
Tmac: 62.75
Remember production isnt as great no matter what the numbers say unless you play games. Greater volume of games with the same amount of production says a lot more. Durability is a big part of a players attributes.

I think Manu is a great player but I just don't think he is a better "shooting guard" than vince carter is.. Manu is probably the best team player.. and biggest winner out of everyone on that list. But I just don't think he is on the same level as skill set.. and numbers as Vince carter is. Manu is amazing though.. hes def in the top 8 ... But my list goes

1) kobe
2) wade
3) Ai
4) carter
5) Tmac
6) Manu ginobli
7) joe Johnson
8) Michael Redd
9) Jason RIchardson
10) Ray Allen

Vince Carter is beyond overated. I will not be voting him anywhere near the top 5...

Thats cool I mean its ur opinion... just want to know why you feel that way? I mean his numbers are pretty much the same as tmac.. if not better... hes been further in the playoffs... hes more reliable..mcgrady is so injury plagued.. Why? I just dont get it .. Anything to do with the way he left Toronto?

I kno you might say he doesnt try hard and this and that... but hey that was in toronto.. about 4 or 5 years ago.. management had really ticked him off... they didn't not treat him the way they should treat a star...not that carter should have given up.. BUts its both sides fualt.. We are talking about now.. not 5 years ago...

I don't see how u say hes overated.. Maybe you don't like him... Thats fine with me.. I just want to know why you think hes overated? I think hes kind of underated ..if he puts up the same numbers as tmac.. has been further than him.. plays more games than him.. but tmac is still ranked ahead of him.. hes not even in the top 5 lol..

Hes a 8 time all star... 1 of 3 players to average 20.. 6. and 5 on a bum ankle..the other two Lebron, and kobe? .. How is that overated?

Some people but ray allen ahead of him...

Just very confused.

FIne buddy lol... who cares about the career totals.. right now.. uhmm i think vince carter is 1 of only 3 players to average 20 6 and 5... so wat do u mean hes garbage? How are u putting ray allen ahead of him? are u serious? lol.. Ray allen didnt show up until the finals came around.. hes not ever 3/4th the player carter is.

What do u mean hes not close? U have tmac up there.. why? He had a better year last year than tmac did... ANd he was hurt lol... but he played thorugh it... So is it a little displeasure for vince?

Cuase if u think he sucks then i hope u think tmac sucks too cause... it wouldnt make any sense to say that hes not even in the top 5 and then have tmac.. who carter did have a better year than last year while he was hurt... actually the last 4 years carter has been better and more efficient...

SO please tell mE why? Is it ur hate at all?

 I agree, it's not an easy pick.

IMO there's big drop off between Kobe, Wade and the rest. I picked Manu because he's willing to play off the bench for his team, and because he's a key player in their championships. I'd want him on my team anytime.

T-Mac, if this guy could stay healthy, he can put up Kobe numbers.

And I don't get why T-Mac gets ridiculed for not getting out of the 1st round, it took KG 7 years as well. But he got passed it and got his ring. So will T-Mac.
He shows up to the games, his teamates don't. Hardly his fault.

Like I was Just saying. This spot should go to Kevin Martin. T Mac shots a woeful 41% and averages fewer points than guys like K Mart Vince J rich . Joe Johnson etc. He is probably a better playmaker than all those guys but the difference isnt that big.

They're all close but based off Last season I give K Mart the nod over T Mac, Joe Johnson. Vince, J rich, Mike Redd, IGGY and Ginobli. he scored more than all those guys (with insane % numbers) and really improved his passing and defense last year. I think he's really underrated right now.

From 3 - 15

Shooting Guards ARE BASICALLY INTERCHANGEABLE . KOBE AND WADE ARE THE ONLY 2 WHO REALLY STAND OUT

Monta Ellis and AI deserve their own category. Combo Guards

Chronz

Tmac

Hes still the most established, has done more with his team, and is the one guy you know when healthy is top 10 in the league. It rarely happens but unless you can predict injuries Id rather have Tmac at 100% in the playoffs than any of these guys. So if the question is whos the better ball players its got to be him.

y_noble
08-08-2008, 06:51 PM
^^ how is Tmac the most established??? Iverson won 4 scoring titles (joining only MJ, Chamberlain and Gervin) and was runner up maybe 3 times. I don't think he's ever been outside the top 5 of scoring except for maybe his debut season and his first season with the Nuggets.

AI got way more accolades than Tmac, who will go down in history as one of the most talented players to never fully reach his potential.

Edit: how is it that almost everyone here take AI over Tmac, yet Tmac is getting votes like crazy.

Because his level of play was higher throughout his career, Iverson chucked at a rate unseen before, often to the detriment of his own team. Iverson in his latter day stages was far and away a superior player to the guy who won scoring titles. Tmac has put up better numbers throughout his career, lets not even get into his defensive superiority.

I have no doubt AI will have a much boosted rep, because of his impact on the social society within basketball itself, hes an icon of his day, much more marketed than Tmac ever could be and is seen as the "little" guy that will generate alot of sympathy for him when its time to rank his place in history. He has a few years on Tmac so I have no problem ranking him above him in terms of career worth but Im just saying in the now Tmac is the better player.

as a player i like tmac better... his defense is very underrated (shown by the fact noone else has mentioned it) and he has a kobesque arsenal of shots and moves... (obviously not saying same as kobe)... in my opinion if not for injuries there would be no question... as an individual player i'll take tmac... the fact he hasn't gone past the first round doesn't do justice to his skill

This is crazy... tmac is def so over rated.. this is nuts.. how is he better than Ai?

Ai is 4 time scoring champ and has actually been further in the palyoffs...

Tmac doesnt evne compare to ai's accomplishments....

And u say right now tmac is better? how so? Ai beat out tmac last year...

Tmac played horrible last year.. He had horrible fg% and only averaged about 22? withotu yao.. he was hte primary scorer on that team... Wat is wrong wiht u guys?

Ai stillaveraged 27 last year... Are u Crazy?

AI stays healthy all year long... and palys.. and oes well.... How in the hell is tmac better? Makes no sense.. TMac is so overated...

Just makes no sense... dont say hes hurt cause hes always hurt.. and thats no excuse.. vince put up betternumbers than tmac did while he was hurt too.. so no excuses.. and AI has better numbers.. a better resume... a mvp.. scoring titles... stop smoking guys.. tmac is not evne close to AI... tmac is under AI and Vince...... hes ahasnt done nearly as much as Ai...a nd even "Now" like u guys like to say...
