Taxes take away half of your salary. Now I know why players are greedy and hold out/want new contracts. That is ridiculous how much they take away.

Basically the article says that Kobe/LeBron/Wade would take a deal if they offered them $40 million and if they knew someone who turned it down, they would beat them up and be idiots.

But ya, that is crazy how much taxes take out of a salary.

well i think its perfectly normal that they take so much for such LARGE contracts,.

You know? y make 20000 euros a year and i ahve to pay like 3000 in taxes , i m not homeless but neither rich and they take so much from me, so why shoudlnt they take away 50% to them if they win in a year waht i wont amount in my whole life?

Pity is they dont use the money for example to make a Social Scurity System.
