drew deserves alot of credit this year. for a guy that was being booed alot last year, he's put up some great stats.he's tied for 2nd in the AL for OBP. his slugging % is higher than howard, sizemore, manny, vlad, longoria, cabrera, morneau, fielder, hanley, giambi, and texeria who are all big power hitters.

mvp of the all star game too. he's really turned it around and done it in quiet fashion to boot.

Yeah my Dad bet me that Drew had a high OBP than any player I'd be able to name. So I thought I'd go with Adam Dunn .375 (pretty good)

and then I looked at Drew's and it was .401!!!

My Dad bet me Drew would turn it around so now he bought me a shirt so he could rag on me for making fun of him last year. lmao

i like his even keelness. doesn't let things bother him.....much like last nite when the ump made a couple questionable calls for balls. he just got back in the batter's box....ready for the next pitch.

JD has really been doing a spectacular job this year. Hopefully he can keep it up

If he holds to his historical averages, he's about to take off, too. His best months have been August and September (esp. Sep) throughout his career. 'Course that could be because he'd typically had a lot of "rest" during the season.

He is just finally coming out of his month long slump.

His OBP is because of his penchant for taking walks. He hopefully goes on a tear we sure need it. Lowell is another whipping boy he needs to wake up too.

Tek, I've given up on offensively.

Drew last 30 days...... take his liitle barrage in June out?? ouch.....

you put the avg/obp/slg backwards and it really screwed me up.

Copy and Paste......right from the RS site. :D

Drew from early June to the third week in June was amazing. Before that and since he is basically last year all over again.

Hopefully as RST makes light of he takes off this month and next.

Drew has always been a very solid player but goes down with injuries way too easily. If he breaks a toe nail he's on the 15 day, he needs to grow a pair and then he'll become very good if not great for player for us.

And when this season did he go on the 15 Day?

In fact, when in his entire nearly two year Red Sox career has he been put on the DL?

People still think he's injury prone, despite the fact that he hasn't had a legit "injury prone" type of injury for a long time.

JD has been great this year. I knew he just needed another year in Boston to settle in. Just like Beckett and Dice-K did

So you discount his 207 avg since the break. His .234 avg the last 30 games or so.....
His no RBI, or him losing 40 points off his avg. He hit 12 HR's in one two week period he has 19 now?

Listen I pray he starts hitting I really do, but don't ignore FACTS.

.........last 30 days he is hitting .217

Lowell .196.......

Drew month of July .221 ......Lowell .215 Tek .197

Bases empty .312.......jeez he likes 'em empty. I look for trends and why we can't get past 17 games over .500 for a couple months now.
I know why. Maybe you see the overall numbers. I prefer what have you done for me lately. Youk, Pedy,Lowrie, Casey, Bay are the ones getting it done.

Hopefully as was pointed out DREW hits well in Aug and Sept. My point is he BEST. We are deciding our fate then.
