The 2008-2009 schedules were just released today and I have noticed on many of them that games that are supposed to be played home are being played in other cities. At first I thought it was an error but I have seen it on the Nets, Knicks, Sixers, and Cavs schedule page.

For example: April 15th the Sixers who are away play the Cavs who are supposed to be home in Orlando.

That same day the Nets and Knicks play at the Target Center....

If you dig around you will more than likely find more of these on the sechdules...

I wonder what that is about...

Any thoughts?

I'm guessing it's a computer error. But yeah, I was wondering the same thing.

It's a promotion by the NBA, they wouldn't go out of their way to bold the arenas at the end. Also, there is a Dallas v Houston game in Boston, and one game that is going to be in Dallas too.

How is it a "promotion"?? Will people in Boston waste their money on a game when they're team's not even playing?? Unless the NBA can provide free plane tickets for Rockets/Mavs fans who are buying tickets...

It would make sense if it was a pre-season game, but not the last game of the season. I still think it's a computer error.

Yeah I don't think I get it, those season ticket holders payed to see thier team for 41 home games not 40 with one night of a bunch of clowns they would typically root against

thats weird. Id go see the mavs and rockets in boston. Thats a good mathcup with a lot of good players on the floor. Im a die-hard Celtics fan but also a die hard b-ball fan.

I just severely doubt that NBA.com would make a simple mistake, and then bold the arena, and just so coincidentally be at season ending games.
