The Rockets expect to trim their roster and their bloated collection of forwards on Wednesday by dealing Steve Novak to the Los Angeles Clippers, an individual with knowledge of the deal said Tuesday.

The Rockets will receive future draft considerations, likely the right to switch places with the Clippers in a second round. It is unclear which season that would be because both teams have future second round commitments.

Steve Novak is one of the most underrated shooters in the NBA, I wish I could have him on my team.

No need for Novak when you have Artest and Battier at SF.

No need for Novak at all, even when you DON'T HAVE Artest and Battier.

i think steve novak is a pretty decent pickup... he has good size he can shoot... don't really know much about him... but from the 3 games he's played he could be a solid bench player... especially for the clips...

Good pickup. A good shooter who actually hit a game-winning shot last season.

Every team needs a white 3-pt shooter, it's the law.

The guys got size, youth, and a killer 3pt shot. Nothing but a positive addition to the team.

I don't think it can be 2010, because what Denver received in the Camby trade was the right to swap 2nd rounders that year.

Novak is good in stretches....but he has to be one of the most one dimensional players in the NBA today....he literally does nothing well except shoot....he can't score inside, defend, rebound, pass, or create for himself in any way....but boy howdy can he ever hit the 3....the Rockets would throw him in at some points and the guy just wouldn't miss.....he's like JJ Reddick except about 5 or 6 inches taller....

Lol. Who's Boston's??

Brian Scalabrine, he's just too good for the NBA, so he misses them intentionally.
