View Full Version : Alternatives

Lets say we lose both Landry and Mutumbo, or just get one of them even, here are some pretty solid alternatives to fill their spot.

Francisco Elson
Alonzo Mourning
Robert Horry
Jamaal Magliore
Michael Doleac
Theo Ratliff
Juwon Howard

Give me your thoughts on these guys and any other possible FREE AGENTS we could sign to replace Landry or Mutumbo if they left. (No trades)

ive always been a fan of alonzo! though i havent heard much on him since he went down with that horrible knee injury. is he recovered? does he have a friendly price tag? those are two things that will prolly keep him away from our team.

Francisco Elson- I don't know enough about him
Alonzo Mourning- I'd take Zo, he still has some left in the tank
Robert Horry- Na, don't need him anymore
Jamaal Magliore - If the price was right
Michael Doleac - ^
Theo Ratliff-^
Juwon Howard- Please no!

We may get Deke back, but I really doubt Landry will be back with us. I think his agent has burned some bridges.

Francisco Elson maybe
Alonzo Mourning yes
Jamaal Magliore perhaps

Alonzo Mourning being that we get Landry back.

I'd be trying for Ratliff, he is still a good shot blocker and would adequately fill the roll of back up center. We might also get him cheap if he wants to get a ring before retiring.

Im down with Alonzo Mourning, Fransisco Elson and Jamaal Magloire.

Rattliff would be VERY cheap, go after him if we cant resign Motumbo

I hate to sound heartless, but I'd rather not have the traveling Oprah show all year long with Mourning. It's like the media and many fans can't get beyond his operation from years ago and want to treat him as if he is a special olympics athlete.

I do think Mutumbo will be back. He waited until just before preseason to sign last year. He also made a fuss about being a 'minimum' player last season before he signed. I think the problem has less to do with money and more about pride and not wanting to be viewed as a minimum salary player. He'll be back.

I hope DeKe comes back, he craps on all of the above.

Yeah, Les needs to make a 3 million donation to Dekes hospital then sign him for the min.

If you could get Alonzo Mourning that would even be better than Deke.

I think he lives in Miami and has said he wants to return there. Even so, he may not be done rehabbing his leg before the start of the season.
