at last, the re-match! after losing 4 in boston, including a no-hitter, the red sox come calling at the "k"! the royals are as hot as the temperature, banging out 19 hits in back-to-back games against the former 1st place white sox.

clay buchholz (2-6) starts for boston in game 1. he is 0-2 in his last 3 games with a 6.61 era over that span.

the royals counter with gil meche (9-9). he has been sharp as of late, going 3-0 in his last 3 games with a 1.33 era.

the bats have been hot, the royals are inching back into contention in the central, and are sniffing the .500 mark

the royals are 7-3 in their last 10 games, the red sox are 5-5. its payback time!!! go royals!!!

we're not off to a good start. meche walked the leadoff guy, followed by a double off the right field wall. a ground ball scored the runner at third, leaving a runner at third...one out...and youk up.

josh beckett kicked our butts last night, he pitched a good one. hopefully we can take game 3...the redsox bats are heating up. there were a lot of extra-base hits last night.

game 3 has luke hochevar vs tim wakefield. this is the rubber game of the series, and going into the bottom of the fourth...we have a pitcher's duel 0-0. both pitchers have retired 7 straight.

red sox took the lead in the top of the 5th, scoring 3 runs. the royals have scored 2 runs in the bottom of the 5th, and trail 3-2 with gload on 2nd base...2 outs.

the bats were booming and wakefield's knuckleball was dancing...thats a tough combination.

I go up against kids who throw harder than Wakefield.
