The NBA's 2008-09 schedule is expected to be released soon, with the holdup because of the Sonics' move to Oklahoma City. The Celtics are expected to open the season Oct. 28 at TD Banknorth Garden, at which time they will receive their championship rings and hoist banner No. 17 to the rafters. There are also rumors the Celtics will play the Lakers Christmas Day in Los Angeles.

Probably. Lakers are always in the Christmas game. Boston vs. LA seems very likely.

Wonder how many national broadcasts of the Sixers there will be this year. They are projected to be an very exciting and fun team to watch.

^^^^^I could bet not many..Maybe a few with the addition of Elton Brand, but I wouldnt get too carried away esp with a ton of other exciting teams..

Celtics, Lakers, Hornets, Jazz, Trailblazers, Rockets, (Basically the whole western conference, minus the Wolves and Grizz), Magic, Cavs..The list goes on and on...Id probably say they get 3-5 National broadcasts..I go to school in Philly so ill get to watch them plenty

Yea, you're probably right. I'd love to see the Sixers vs. Boston or Toronto on national TV though. That'd be a fun game to watch.

Hopefully the Hornets get a lot more tv coverage this year.
