2008 Season Outlook
Finley had a few devastating moments as a third-year sophomore at Texas, and decided to leave school early. To look at Finley is to see a big wide receiver because, well, he's skinny. He won't be a good blocker this year in Green Bay, which means he might have trouble seeing action, and he isn't yet considered a very good route runner. But as a developmental player, Finley is interesting. The Pack might eventually have something here.

2008 Season Outlook
Nelson is an Anthony Gonzalez clone who doesn't figure to play a lot in '07 -- not with Donald Driver, Greg Jennings and James Jones locked in ahead of him. But he has a bright future. Nelson isn't a burner, but he's a big, consistent target with reliable hands and the willingness to be an excellent downfield blocker. This former defensive back could form part of an impressive trio with Jennings and Jones for a long time.

What do you guys think these two guys will do this season? I eventually see Jordy Nelson cutting in and getting more snaps than people anticipate. I just have no idea what we will get out of Jermichael Finley.

I can't wait to see how of these guys play in the preseason just to get a look at them.

Finley is my favorite of TT's picks this year. He's a project though and needs to add weight for sure, but he could be the TE to stretch the field that we've been looking for. Nelson will be pretty good too, just not special.

i liked what i saw in finley when i went up to GB and saw them in the OTAs...he was big and skinny, but i think the article is making him a bit more skinny than he actually is, hes not a stick or anything....i think he will be a good tony gonzales type TE

nelson i would agree is going to get more reps than the writers think, i would assume that the pack are gonna keep their big 5 package, which would DEFINITELY include nelson (and prolly ruvie) hes gonna be a very reliable wes welker type receiver in the future

I think Jordy would become better faster if he had Brett throwing him the ball instead of Rodgers:clap:

Jeez, already a Tony Gonzalez comparison...Anyway, i do like what i saw in Finley during college and his frame does have plenty of room to add some muscle. I'm not sure how much he will play this year just because he might not be a good enough blocker.

Nelson will get some reps. I don't think he will be like Welker though
