The 76ers agreed to terms today with restricted free agent guard Louis Williams on a 5-year contract.

Additional terms of the deal were not immediately known.

"It's a good deal for Louis," Merle Scott, Williams' agent, told the Daily News. "It gives him a chance to grow with a team that's building and allows him to stay with the team he came into the league with."The 76ers agreed to terms today with restricted free agent guard Louis Williams on a 5-year contract.

UPDATE:
Philly.com is not reporting any terms, but I just saw Derrick Gunn on Comcast SportsNite say the deal is reportedly worth $25 million over the 5 years.

25 million over 5 years is fantastic. Considering in the next 2 years he could become our starting PG if we let Miller walk and not resign him.

And he's probably our 2nd best shooter next to Kareem Rush now so that's good.

Sign Iggy and we are set like I said earlier.

Skys the limit for this kid and Thaddeus Young.

An orlando fan rooting for the sixers to sign their guys? I'm impressed. Sixers magic should be a pretty good matchup this year. Dwight will tear us up as usual, but it should be close to even.

anyway, great signing for the sixers. like some other people said, a few years from now, Lou will likely be worth a lot more than this contract.
