It's still the Rays IMO. They are playing steady baseball, and talking to the Pirates about Bay, and Reds about Dunn. If they get one of those guys, they take a huge leap in the AL East.

Adding Griffey doesn't make the White Sox any better. In fact, it could make them worse.

Nobody is a threat to the Angels. It goes like this:

Angels

Rest of baseball.

Yea, Angels are ridiculous. It'd need to be a Holliday for us to even be in that discussion. Not Junior.

You know some deals are usually announced around 4:30-5:00. As long as they are sent in to the Commish's office before 4:00, it could happen.

Team wise: The Yankees

But since the Angels OWN the Yankees in the playoffs, i say the Rays

I am sure it was said earlier but I don't think adding Griffey makes them that much better/worst.

Last week I would have told you that Boston was the best team in MLB. But now with all this Manny drama going down, I am not so sure anymore.

I think the Rays are going to be the biggest concern, and maybe the ChiSox also. The thing with the Rays is their inexperience. So the ChiSox seems to be the only problem in the AL. They have a good nucleus of guys.

As an Angels fan, the Red Sox are still the only team that concerns me. Taking 8 in a row from them definitely boosts the confidence, but I can't forget how they've just destroyed some very good Angel ballclubs in the postseason the past few years.

Why the Red Sox? They are in second behind the RAYS.

Because they're better than the Rays. Their +Run Differential is twice the Rays. Plus playoff experience, more talent, all that....

Reds acquired RHP Nick Masset and second baseman Danny Richar from the White Sox for outfielder Ken Griffey Jr.

Why? They're better at the major league level with Bay.

I wouldn't be worried about them, you guys got their number this year.

Rays been solid all season (Expect around the all star brake) and i believe they will continue

but im just glad to see Jr. leave the reds. All he ever did was get injured there maybe Chicago can be a new start for him
