So like a lot of you I've come to realization that Manny needs to go....assuming the deal goes through with the Marlins and we get some young studs how about filling in left field with Bonds for the remainder of the season? one head-case for another.....

This has already been discussed enough. Sox and everyone else have no interest in Bonds. Even his (Bonds') agent says he's got zero interest from anyone.

I could see the point for the thread though. If we don't get a good LF back in return, we have a hole. I wouldn't be against adding Bonds for 1 season to play LF and provide Papi his protection. Either way, i doubt it happens.

And Tito would have a fit with Bonds protecting Papi, since they are both lefties.

'Zactly.

We do not need Barry Bonds. He's a great player, but it's just not going to happen. The only way I would have been remotely interested was if David Ortiz would have missed the rest of the season. Clearly, that's not the case.
