Wow. It's ironic how ATL refused to give Harrington this massive contract, but eventually taking it back.

It's decent for Atlanta, they get a big expiring and 2 solid prospects.

Wright and Marco are very solid prospects. I would like to keep them if possible.

al harrington is only slightly worse than josh smith.

throw in a rising stud in brandon wright and a possible dead eye shooting 6th man in Bellineli, id say the hawks get the best of this deal no doubt in my mind.

wright is not that good just ask garlicboy on his opinion and he'll tell u all about them. And i like beli but dont ever ask him to play defense, like in one of this years summer games quincy douby droped 40 pts. on him.

Great move for both teams but I think Atlanta got the better deal.

lol Al Harrington back in ATL

Would be a good fit for both teams. Though I think ATL would come out with the better end. They get a shooter off the bench (Belinelli) and a quality front man in Wright who they can pair with Horford for years.

Smith's attitude should be a concern for Golden State. If I'm Mullin, I don't pull the trigger on this one unless I'm really certain Anthony Randolph is going to be a terrific player.

ATL would get the better of the deal. A little less talented Harrington, but a great serviceable F. A big guy in Brandan Wright, and a dead eye shooter in Bellinelli. Not so much better though.

As for GSW, they're having an overload of SF's. Unless Nellie decides to play Josh Smith as a 4, which is probably the most logical case.

What have you been smoking??:smoking:

Wow if you think that J.Smith is not that good then your crazy a guy that Avg.... 15.7ppg 2.86bpg 1.71spg 2.9apg 6.40Rpg 84%ft and he is only 22yrs old! Your crazy:rolleyes:

I think the radio station is just thinking of ways that the deal might work, not necessarily in the talks right now, since nobody knows who that Western Conference "power" is.

ha well thats ur opinion.

I personally think that Al Harrington is one of the most underrated players in the NBA.

You Just gave me Smith's career numbers.... which are very good, and he is only 22 years old, and if you knew me, which u dont, u wouldve known that i really wanted the sixers to get him before we landed elton brand. josh smith is a great player.

But Al Harrington is overlooked and a very talented player as well... he's only 27 and still has some good years left in him.

Here are Harrington's numbers when he was in Atlanta for two seasons

18.2 ppg, 7.0 rpg, 3.2 apg, 1.3spg while shooting .456% from the field with a .357 3 point%

those are comparable numbers to smiths. Although Smith is the better player (defensively, and younger) he can't hold a candle to Harrington's offensive game, cus frankly, Harrington can shoot and Smith can't.

Oh yeah, throw in the #9 (Brandon Wright) and #22 (Marco Bellineli) picks in last years draft..... and you have an uneven trade.

Brandon Wright has 20 and 10 potential in this league, and Marco could be a 14 point scorer off the bench, kind of like a poor mans Ginobili.

Both of these kids are only 21 years old. They have just as much potential combined as Josh Smith.

So therefore, i think

Al Harrington, Brandon Wright, Marco> Josh Smith

btw those were his stats in the playoffs against Kevin Garnett (one of the best defensive players in the league) and the rest of the Celtics!

His season stats were:

17.2 ppg, 8.2 rpg, 3.4 apg, 2.8 bpg, 1.5 spg, 45.7 fg%
