so what do yall think?

i think it's a tie between Boston and Houston with LA as a very close third.

Andre Miller, Iggy and Brand .

But for real I like what the Rockets got for like the 16 games those three can play together, since they'll get hurt.

The trio that has just proved themselves to be the best by winning the title.

Joshtd1

Spurs. They have done the most winning- 3 championships between the trio.

JMKnick33
07-30-2008, 01:35 PM
top 3 for me are:

1) Hornets
2) Celtics
3) Spurs

when I think of trio, I think of three players knowing what each other is thinking 3 steps ahead. yes, the celtics won the championship, but they mainly won with their team defense. there weren't many times when I saw all three jellin with each other, except maybe on D. and as much as I hate the spurs, i'd have to give them the 3rd spot. they can play 3 on 5 all day with the best of em. they work together beautifully on both offense and defense. but we still haven't seen what the new rockets trio are capable of yet either.

and as for the hornets..paul just makes it soo easy for chandler and west to get their buckets. he even put peja back on the map. west spreading the floor w/ his midrange game + his post game. chandler setting high pick and rolls for the easy ally oop. and you know cp3 can penetrate at will. just ask jkidd. case closed.

funny how I'm the only one to vote for them so far..

It could have something to do with the fact that the only year that the Boston Trio played together they won the championship and beat S.A. the only two times the teams faced each other.....

That makes sense.

uh btw the the lakers shouldnt be getting any votes.

they got their *** whooped by the BEST trio in KG, Pierce, and Allen.

Kobe is the greatest in the game no doubt, but

Pau Gasol is the softest PF in the NBA, name anyone who's softer... i dare u

and Odom is inconsistent and even Laker fans hated him earlier in the season, u shoulda seen the amount of la fans calling for his head because of his off games and missed layups.

im just sayin.... u cant possibly vote for the lakers.

I voted for Boston. I agree with the argument for the Spurs and the 3 to 1 advantage in rings, but I think a 3 on 3 battle would go to the Celtics. Lakers big 3 should include Kobe Bynum and Gasol. Bynum is better than Odom.

He is only 28. Might be suspended a couple times, and is not that bad a shooter. He holds the ball a lot but that should change with guys like T Mac and Yao on the team.

He averaged over 20 points and 5 boards last year for the Kings, those are pretty solid numbers.

He was playing on the kings wat the hell to you expect, and hes gonna be unjured hes never played a full season in his entire career, hasnt played more than 70 games since 03? He is a huge liability and ther is no chance that this is best trio wen first they havent played together yet and second of all they havent won a championship. Depending on if were talking about present or past, its obviously the celtics, they won a championship. T mac has never made it past the 1 round.

He's only 28 years old. He probably isn't going to get suspended anymore, and will not shoot you out of a game while he's in Houston, too much talent around him, he won't even have a chance to do that, if anything he's going to help them out a real lot with his size, defense, rebounding, athleticism, and the ability to score. Most certainly a + for Houston.

How does playing for the Kings reflect on his talent as a player? If anything it makes it harder due to him being the first option.

Its already been started numerous times that it all hinges on whether or not the Rockets can stay healthy, but that doesnt detract from the fact that Artest has undeniable talent.

Yea they're already a great team and they added James Posey which is great but I don't think they should start him. He's a better bench player.

to all the rocket voters..shame shame. where's the results to say they are the 'best'???

and i still stand by my vote of the hornets..
when i watch them play..cp3 just does his thing and gets his boys some really easy buckets. pick and pop for west, pick and roll for chandler, if someone doubles the penetrating cp3, mo-pete/peja will be open for the 3.

why the celtics are 2nd instead of 1st IMO? because they've only been together for one year and i don't really see them meshing as a unit. yes, they get their buckets..mostly on isos though.

and its hard to argue against the spurs 3 championships w/ that trio.

nash/amare/marion would've been in contention for the 3rd spot as well..except they no longer exist and their defense wasn't nearly as good as the spurs trio.

If ur going by results and how far u get in the playoffs then those three teams at the top are by far the best , but if you are talking about scoring then this would shock you but Golden State would be the highest of past results when they had B- Davis, Ellis, Jackson.

99% of these Laker fanboys, YES BOYS, only like this team for Kobe.

God I wish I can turn back the hands of time and see Kobe get that trade he wanted so badly... You will see a drastic change in Los Angeles. No, **** that, across the globe. He's loved everywhere... I'm still trying to find that picture of the Iraqi boy burning the USA flag with a Kobe Bryant jersey on...

I would trade KB24 for a championship anyday...Laker fan before Kobe. Laker fan after Kobe.

He is the best player so there is obviously more respect dished out for him than the other players like Magic was more revered than Wes Matthews or Kurt Rambis. Same deal. You guys act as if Laker fans are the only one to treat their star players like star players. Wilt, West, Magic, Kareem, Shaq, and Kobe will always get more respect from Laker fans than Smush, Lamar, or Kwame. That is because they have done more to earn that respect. Most laker fans I know don't like this team just because of Kobe and were fans before him and share the same sentiment I do: I would trade KB24 for a championship banner.

Well then you are one of the small minorities on this forum that I am not directing negativity towards.

See I respect REAL Laker fans such as yourself. I have no problem with the older generation of Laker fans, you know, pre-Shaq n Kobe era. You have every right to praise Kobe Bryant and the rest of the team.

HAHAHAHA Dude Kobe would be so pathetic with Charolette/New Orleans! I still remember he said "I won't play unless im in LA"

I think he means traded to Chicago...

Also, Kobe never said he won't play unless he is traded to LA. I don't know where you got that from, but that is not true. I have been following the Lakers for long before that and Kobe never said that. Jerry West simply thought Kobe had the greatest work-out he had ever seen so he had to trade for him.

Heres a video of Kobe getting drafted. In the end he says that he wants to make sure he does his homework before going to Hornets camp. That doesn't sound like a guy who didn't want to play at all. You just made that up and it is actually pretty funny that you would do that. Again, Kobe never said that.

That shows you how much I know about Kobe I'd rather stick to the Nuggets

 The Spurs are have won all 3 times they've been to the finals with our trio, and 4 out of 4 all togehter.

I think the question was current trio, or at least that is what I made of it. Boston's trio was the best in the NBA, and hasn't lost a playoff series yet. Shoot, Bird/Mchale/Parish then. Cool? Or Jordan/Pippen/Rodman

You make a good point, but they do play together in practice...

Please don't argue with any Laker fans, all they are going to do is bring up the playoffs...

PAYBACK IS A MOTHER ****ER!

You are allowed to talk smack when your team does something. If I remember correctly, Kobe cratered this year. Shaq wasn't around to give him wide open lanes and jumpers.

I don't respect most Lakers fans knowledge of their OWN team's history. They can't talk about us Nugget fans because I know some Celtics fans who aren't just bandwagons.

Laker fans love to call out bandwagon fans. Thing is, LAL has never been bad, except the year before they traded for Shaq, at least in modern history. Free agents all want to play there, everyone wants to be traded their because of the endorsement potential and fame. Try being a fan, and paying $50 a game to watch your team lose by 23 points a game. Why not watch it on the tube? And Staples Center is pretty much empty in the 4th quarter in a regular season game, cause everyone has to catch a late cappucino at Starbucks. When a team like Boston becomes the best team from being the worst team, their fans have something to celebrate. Leave it alone. You got your butts kicked. And you will next year, because Kobe can't lead a team to a ring. Don't even bring up the 3 he has, Shaq was in his prime. And don't bring up his stats, while the other teams entire defense was scrambling to contain Shaq, Kobe reaped the benefits. Finley, Miller AI, Ray Allen, and a couple others would have 3 rings if they played for the Lakers back then.

Hes not going to admit anything in front of the press man. But yes it did happen and West was the guy behind it all. Dont see why that bothers you, just shows how deep his Laker love gos.

Exactly. How can the Spurs be doing so badly in the polls. I think they have the 4th most picks. This is a trio that won a ring two years ago. The Rockets haven't done anything together yet.
