I think Rudy Gay will continue to get better. Ever since he stepped into the league he's been improving and I don't see this year any different.

Beasley wasn't in the league last year. The question is, who will be the average player from last year to become beasts this year? Beasley wasn't even in the NBA so he will just be a beast to start out with...

my bad i didn't read the thread oops but he should do pretty good this year.
Other Pick- Ima go with Al Thorton like the other guy did.

Others: Thaddeus Young, TJ Ford, Rudy Gay, Chris Duhon (Yes, for NYK's sake), Marcus Williams.

CHRIS TO DA FREAKIN M-I-H-M!!!!

seriously though. all signs point to Chris Mihm developing into the next hakeem olajuwon, most likely in the next 2 seasons.

besides the obvious, I guess Al Thornton would be a beast sophomore. he showed some game in the clippers, and as it's not a very competitive team, it'll at least give him some space to grow.

haha I love that the thread title makes no sense but besides that. Im thinking right now that Al Horford again really elevates his game to even higher levels this season. Im gunning for 14 and 10 this year.

lol Hedo Turkoglu is not a beast.

Beasts are...LeBron, Kobe, CP3, AI, Arenas, BDiddy, Josh Smith, Dwight Howard, Melo, Deron Williams, KG, Nash, Yao, etc.. etc....

Now. Who are players that i think will make a big improvement from last season to this season?

i think Kevin Durant is gonna step his game up, he knows wat the NBA has to offer now he can develop his game and come next season he'll be ready to go.

Al Thornton was a solid rookie, especially during tha last half of the season. this kid will really come into his own next season.

Im going out on the limb and saying these nameslol

Sebastion Telfair: minny just gave him a new deal.. and he played well when foye was out last year.. He might get more burn this year lol

Steve Francis: Lol is healthy yet>? Tmac yao and Francis( even 3/4 of what he use to be would be decent ) lol

mArcus Williams: young pg will finally get his chance to start eventually.. and he will excell under DOn nelson... He palyed well for the nets when he got the opportunity

Yi Jianlian: Don't sleep on him.. Last year might have not been a great rookie year for him.. but he was hurt.. and was at a place he didint want to be.. playing wiht solid play makers like Devin harris and vince carter should help him as well.. Hes playing well in olympic warm ups rights now... Very very similar to dirk... If u look at dirks first year numbers.. Yi had better numbers in almost every caetgory... SHot a lot better.. He so talented.. Dirk in his second year jumped from 8 ppg to 18 ppg with about 6 rebounds.. I expect the same from YI! ,, Yao said that he has really improved

Devin Harris: Finally going to get the chance to start and is now the # 2 scoring option on the team... Is healhty and is probably more comfortable in the new system with some time in it last year and practice summer... he coudl put 18 ppg 8 ast numbers while playing great defense

Vince Carter: doesnt have to share the ball with RJ no more.. Now the # 1 option again.. playing with a lot of young players... is healthy.. coming of one of his best all around season while not his best scoring season... he was hurt though.. But i think he will put up 25 5 and 5 .

andrew bynum: could make the all star team.. after coming back strong from injury

Matt barnes fits well in the PHX system and who doesnt benefit from playing next to nash?

J.R. smith.. depending on where he goes .. all i kno is that this kid is one of the most talented dudes in the game.. can shoot the heck out of the ball.. and a great slasher and finisher as well.. God i wish he was still in New Orleans : Cp3 , smith, peja , west, and chandler would be beastly..

Marvin Williams: Veyr talented , had a pretty good year considering he was like 3rd option on the hawlks.. wiht childress gone and the posibilty of Smith leave.. he could step in and be a "beast" lol.

Everyone on the bobcats Lol
Laught at me all u want:
Adam Morrison: If he can stay healthy.. I think he can a be very productive player.. Like Mike Miller.... People forget he led country in scoring in college.. and he had a decent rookie year.. not the best but i think He might do better

Rey Felton: i thought he was going to break out this year but... the bobcats drafted augistine so hes not going to get the burn he deserves

Brandon Wright: will be more comfortablein the NBa this year... I think he has a chance to break out.

Homer picks bynum and farmar

Bynum- offensive numbers might not improve much but his boards and blocks will go up

Farmar- he will kill next year if he improves in the offseason like last year

Marcus williams gs I think he's gonna run wild in golden state

Thandeus young- I just think he's a great talent.

I think he's going to be a solid role player.

Kobe takes too many shots, Sasha/Radman/D-Fish are the 3PT relief, and Pau/Bynum owns the paint.

Ariza won't have many opportunities to have the ball land in his hands..

Ariza is the kind of player who doesn't need the ball in his hands to beast. He's a slasher, and I think the biggest impact aspect of his game is his defense. He creates great opportunities for himself and the team from his defense and his ability to read passes. Also, his offensive boards help us soooo much.

Also, Ariza has quickly become one of my favorite Lakers. He does everything I'd want from him. He only takes great looks (part of why his FG% is so high), he reads passes really well, and goes for the offensive boards with aggression. His defense looks great but he could use some size. His offensive game is something the Lakers need badly... slashing.

He doesn't need too much improvement, just more PT I think to become a huge impact on the team. If he were to turn into a beast though, I would think it would have to do with his defensive game which is very possible because from what I've seen, he's very defensive minded. Reasonably beastly stats for Ariza on the Lakers (taking into consideration Kobe, Pau, Bynum, and Odom) would be 12ppg, 6-7rpg, 2spg in something around 25-30 mpg on a good FG% and playing great defense.

With the way Phil manages PT's of bigs, I think Odom will find himself in PF a lot with Pau and Bynum rotating at C. We would probably start Odom at SF, Pau at PF, and Bynum at C, but rotate Pau and Bynum most of the time until the 4th. If this happens, Ariza will see a lot of time at SF.

Yes, I am an Ariza fanboy.

I'll say it again...

kobe takes too many shots, sasha/radman/d-fish are the 3pt relief, jordan farmar is the spark plug, LO is the dirty worker, and bynum/gasol will be working the paint...

He won't have many opportunities to prove himself because the ball won't be in his hands that much...

I agree Trevor Ariza is a beast but he can't beast on this LA team... He'll just be a solid role player...
