Out of the 8 teams that made the playoffs in the East last season, who won't make it back to the playoffs in 08/09?

Boston
Detroit
Cleveland
Toronto
Atlanta
Philadelphia
Orlando
Washington

Hawks, they shouldn't have made it last year

All those teams except Atlanta are going back to the playoffs and I take Miami as the team to replace the Hawks.

Atlanta lost a key player in childress while the rest of the East got better

my teams 2 pick (in order)

Atlanta (unless they improve some or get a solid big)
Cleveland (they are vulnerable if the King doesnt carry them all the way there again)
Washinton (they just need to keep their big 3 healthy and have them all together by the time the playoffs come)

Highly doubt this will happen, they might not have good offensive players but at least they play defense, which is why they took celtics to 7.

If you take out Atlanta the debate become a whole lot more interesting.

My best guess would be Hawks. And I think that Miami might get that slot.

Atlanta is most likely of the eight teams to fail to make the playoffs.

I was starting to enjoy watching Hawks games because this young team was on the rise. Now they are slowly regressing once again and only after one season. Its a shame, but yes they won't be returning to the postseason in 08-09.

I also enjoyed the Hawks in the playoffs, but right now they are not making the right decisions to remain a playoff contender. I think Milwaukee, Chicago or Miami slips into that spot. And maybe 1 more team falls out and allows two of those teams to slip in. Don't ask me who the other team might be, because I have no clue.

Atlanta is the only logical choice at this point with the teams that were just getting in last year (PHI, TOR, ATL) which of those 3 teams haven't made significant changes for the better so far? PHI adds EB, TOR ships off TJ Ford for J. O'Neal leaving Calderon (who is better than TJ Ford to finally be the full time starter) ATL has lost Childress ands is on the verge of losing Smith to someone, who knows what they'll get in return. I also think Washington may fall out if they have to go through another injury plagued season.
