I started these a little earlier last year, but I figured to perk the activity up a bit, I'd go ahead and start these now.

After Mike Bibby went down with an injury before the regular season started last year, we started the first several games with no true starting PG. We tried Francisco Garcia, Quincy Douby, and even Orien Greene. After the Timberwolves acquired Beno Udrih from the Spurs and waived him, we claimed him off their waivers and had a new starting PG. He impressed immediately.

He finished the season with averages of:

PPG: 12.8
RPG: 3.3
APG: 4.3
SPG: 0.9
BPG: 0.2
FG%: 46.3
3FG%: 38.7
TOPG: 2.3
MPG: 32

Games Played: 65
Games Started: 51

Given his age (just turned 26) and the fact that Mike Bibby is out of the picture, what do you expect from Beno Udrih in 2008-2009?

I think he'll be good for 14 points, 5 assists, and high percentage shooting from the field and beyond the three point line.

14 and 5 sounds about right. I really want him to step up his passing ability, to about 6 or 7 assists. That's what a starting PG should get, but either way I expect him to be solid.

I think he'll get 15 ppg and 6-7 assist a game. Last season was his first real season as a player who matters and it now that he has settled in I think he will step it up. Especially because i remember Reggie talking about how he expects Beno to get those 7 assist per game so I know thats what Beno is going to be working on over the summer.

Yeah, I saw that summer league game where they interviewed Reggie and he said he expected 14 ppg and 7 apg. I don't think he'll get 7 apg, but he'll average somewhere between 5 and 6.

I think with the starting job being his and solid playing time beno could easily go for 15 and 7. I think the lack of a proven backup could increase his mins and numbers.

Averages of:

PPG: 12.8 14
RPG: 3.3
APG: 4.3 6
SPG: 0.9
BPG: 0.2
FG%: 46.3 49
3FG%: 38.7
TOPG: 2.3
MPG: 32

A few more points from better shot selection which would increase his FG%, More assists, from knowing his teammates better and making better decisions.

I hope he can get 14 and 7. But I think 14-15 and 5 is reasonable. If Artest is traded, he will average more points I think. Martin will especially.

If Beno could dish out 8 assists a game the Kings could be a wild card team this year. We need him to step it up and split the defender drive to the basket and either lay it in or dish to our shooters. Beno needs to stop lookin at his jump shot and stick to this and we will be a solid team.

I only 2 statistics I'm really concerned about, are his turnover/assist ratio and APG.
