View Full Version : Euroleague & Eurocup 2008/09 predictions

Olympiakos made the biggest moves outside of Europe in the Euroleague, while
defending Euroleague champs CSKA Moscow stayed more focused on the European Market.

Maccabi Tel Aviv is rebounding off of its worst season in franchise history

all the above make the Top 16 round in the Euroleague, including last seasons slightly disappointing Panathinaikos, Tau Ceramica, Siena, Real Madrid & Barcelona

I guess 8 teams, the other 8 might be harder to do

for the Euro Cup the best I can do is guess that either Dynamo Moscow or Khimki Moscow will win it

anyone else have an opinion

now I think atleast one of the 3 Moscow teams competing in the EuroCup will make it to the finals, and ultimately advance to the Euroleague for next season

a little off topic, but I think the Euroleague should expand from 24 to 32 teams

^ More teams? Nah, don't think that's necessary. It would only make the first stage of the event even more dull.

As for the EL I hope Panathinaikos can return to the Final4 even though this season there are more teams playing at a top level than the past few seasons. But we ain't bad ourselves so I guess we'll see what happens. Expecting a monster season from Barcelona as well this year, their team looks great on paper.

I didnt really read all of the team previews from Ball in Europe, but the ones I did look at predicted that not only Pana would make the F4, but so would Olympiacos

imagine an all Greek finals
