When comparing players, everyone seems to always end up comparing players from decades ago with the next up and coming player. The conversations look something like this:

"Shaq is the best big man of all time."
"Bill Russell won 11 times in 13 seasons."
"That was with fewer teams."
"Exactly. Now teams are watered down."
"There weren't as many good players back then...."

And so on. It's too hard comparing Magic to Oscar Robinson or Wilt to Duncan. The league (and game) changed so much, especially around the beginning of the 80's. It's a lot easier comparing Magic to John Stockton or Wilt to Bill Russell. So I'm asking you to build two teams:
Team A: Old Ball
Players Before 1980

Team B: New Ball
Players since

Some players are lost in transition - stick them with the gameplay that you feel fits best. I want to see who can make the best two teams. Enjoy!
