I wish Nash, Magloire and Dalembert(might have stayed if Triano was the coach IMHO) played for Canada.

How awesome will that be.

Too bad, another 4 years of baskeball development for Canada.

Spain will be a tough team to beat.

The Gasol Borthers, Garbo, Calderon and Juan Carlos Navarro
Germany will be there w/ Dirk and Kaman
of course Argentina and Greece.
Italy will also be up there.

I just hope all the Raps playing for their respective countries will be healthy after the games.

CB4, better keep it up. Surprisingly toward the end of the game, Turkey had solid defense CP3 struggled and had to give the rock to D.Will to handle. I solute Turkey for trying on defense even though they lost.

All I have to say is with no continuation on and 1's and Dwights leaping ability USA has the Gold.

As for the USA, Canada game. Carl English got schooled by Kobe, he took it at the better player and got it stolen, rejects, and dunk by(since he really didnt get dunk on)...Kobe defense is amazing, even though Carl English isn't really a challenge for him probably.

CB4 played very well against Australia, Coach K had high regard on the defensive prowess of Mr. Bosh, I guess against FIBA bigmen he is more agile than Howard.

Good luck to all the Raptors playing in the next 2 weeks, I hope there are no injuries.

I just finished watching Spain vs. Greece game.

As usual Calderon had an awesome game, 13 points, crisp passing, pass leading to an assist, finding the right guy, slowing the game when there is a need, setting the offense and driving the ball to the basket.

Garbo played decent minutes, but damn that injury really slowed him down.

Rubio, 17 yrs. old got some handles, still very raw though and it is amazing that ESPN is already hyping him up to be the possible 1st pick of next years draft.

Rudy Fernandez is fearless, always drives the ball to the basket and always there for an offensive rebound, Portland is so lucky to get him.

Marc Gasol is a huge guy, I dont think though he can stack up with the "Howards" of the NBA.

Overall I am happy that Calderon is playing great so far.

Spain will give USA a run for their money.

Next up is CB4 against Yao and Yi.

I think this will be the true test if Garbo made the right personal decision. I think he could have been better if he had surgery last summer like he should have.

CB4 had 9 points, 8 rebs and 3 steals PLUS the INTANGIBLES against China.

The game is quicker with him in the game vs. Howard (I sound like a homer now, lol)

Anyway, so far good performances from the Raptor Olympians.

According to Craig Sager, CB4 visited the Great Wall after a good game defensively against Angola, his first impression about the massive wall was "awesome", Tayshaun Prince was with him.

Next up Greece.

I know that he is not officially on the Raptors Roster, but I think we should also be paying attention to Georgios Printezis. See if he is something in the future that could be a nice piece to the puzzle; against the US he did not play many minutes; I do not know much about him, other than the Raptors own his NBA rites.

You can say that again! I didn't forget about him, but he hasn't done anything yet so I am unsure if it is worth hilighting him. He was in at the end of the first half and Bosh covered him for about a second.

So far from what I have seen, D.Howard or Boozer havenít done much. Bosh has been very aggressive and seems like he is rebounding the ball better. Well, Howard might be good in NBA, but for international play, Bosh has been the real deal. Have u seen the way he is running the floor?

I have but if they are facing a big man like Yao or Kaman, Howard would be better defensively on them.

I don't care who the big man is on the other team. I think Bosh's play today showed Coach K that Bosh needs to start over howard in the olympics.

Yea, Howard is a better match up defensively on big guys. But for some reason he has struggled on the offense and havenít been a defensive force that he is for Orlando. I thought Bosh handled Yao pretty well even with the height/weight disadvantage. May be Bosh is showing more passion for the game.

I think he is showing a lot of passion. Dwight doesn't hit FTs but the way I look at it, if the USA needs a more defensive force then they can afford to play Howard. Do they honestly need help scoring? I don't think so. Should be interesting to see who they put in against the Gasols.

I DVR the game and I just finished watching it. This one was the best offensive game by CB4 but another consistent defensive presence he was.

I thought his help defense out in the perimeter was way better than his one on one defense in the middle. I was thinking that with Jermaine O'Neal's presence now in the middle, I think Bosh can cheat a little bit and leak out and help the perimeter people on defense. I am so excited for the raps defensively.

CB4 line: 18 ppg, 7/8 fg, 4/5 ft, 5 rebs, 2 blocks and 2 steals.

Next up, against Jose who scored 15 against Germany.

Final Score: 119-82. Btw, if you guys want to watch the games live, go to the the msnbc site, download the software and you are ready to go, unfortunately though there is no live play by play, there is that captioning play by play at the bottom of the screen.

CB4 had another awesome game defensively, 7 rebounds and 2 block shots, one block off Calderon :) in the third quarter. When CB and Dwayne are out there, the game seem to be faster.

Jose didn't play well, 1 out of 9 fg, 1/4 3pt. fg and 0 assists

With the way Bosh is playing these Olympics, can u imagine if he played with a Kobe or Lebron in the NBA? Chris has become a better all-around player in these games because he isn't being looked at as the first option on the floor. I love the way he's playing and even if he had a Paul Pierce on his side, Chris would make a fantastic second option on the floor, he'd be much more effective than he is as a first option. This is all probably a bit obvious and a bit of a pipe dream, but the way he's going right now confirms how good he'd be with a superstar perimeter guy on his team.

As a basketball fan, what has transpired last night was exceptional, great game last night and Spain provided the US a valiant effort.

Overall, I am very happy for CB4 and the Raptors. This Olympics I think was the coming out party of the Raptors superstar. Playing with and against the greatest players of the world will be proabably make him an elite player and will definitely benefit the Raptors.

I hope Jose will recover.
