Put the date of your post before you do your top 10.

7/25

1. Angels
2. Brewers
3. Red Sox
4. Cubs
5. Yankees
6. Rays
7. White Sox
8. Cardinals
9. Mets
10. Phillies

The biggest complaint will of course be the Yankees a) being too high b) being above the Rays.

Well the Rays even though are fully rested from the ASB are still struggling. The Yankees (unlike the Mets streak) have been on a win streak against winning teams. Both the Twins and A's were above them in the WC standings, and now are behind the Yankees.

The Brewers could easily be the best team right now, but because the Angels are also doing so well, and have the best record in the process, its hard not to rank them #1.

How do you figure that?

Tell me how most of the ML teams would be if their:

-Best player was out for 20 games.
-Starting DH was out for the majorite of the season
-All-star catcher was out for a chunk of the season
-"Ace" was/is out till September (got hurt in June so its roughly 3 months)
-Starting LF missed time
-Middle INF got of to a horrid start

I bet most of those teams wouldn't really be in the play-off picture.

As for Molina, sure his offese sucks but a 49% CS rate is sexy.

So you my friend = an epic fail.

The Brewers have significantly improved. Although after the 1-2 punch, its declines.

He made this thread because he is hyped about the way his team is playing lately(not the 1st time this happens) and his list looks good to me, the Yankees have been playing excellent baseball since the break. Here are the numbers:

Offense since the break:

64 of 209 (.306)
38 runs (6.3 a game)
34 walks
31 strikeouts
21 extra-base hits
21 of 63 RISP (.333)

Pitching since the break:
57 innings
49 hits
12 earned runs
12 walks
61 strikeouts

The Yankees are a top 10 team IMO, I'm not saying they aren't, but I think it's pretty absurd to put them above teams with a better record than them, you can argue about divisions with the Sox, but the Rays are in the east, that's all I'm saying, when you did your list, you put a disclaimer saying for the past two weeks, and yes the Yankees have been hot, so thats okay.
We are most likely out of the playoffs and I realize that, we have a tough division too, good luck to you guys.

Why is no one showing Marlins in their top 10 with the lowest salary in baseball, the way their record is, and their style of play is amazing for top 10 xonsideration.

I actually had the Marlins as my 10th then realized i forgot the Twins, so they're 11th now :(

Real curious, hope it's a good thing!

After last year and all the hype of the tiggers being the best, they've surprised alot of people with how good they are
and it is a good thing
