I was always I huge fan of Yao, even when he played in China, since my cousin lived in China and saw him play. He told me that he is amazing, and I gotta come down and see him. So I did, and saw about 6 of his games, and started following him. At the time, I wasn't a huge fan of the NBA. I then decided that I would be a fan of whatever team drafted him, and since it was the Rockets, I am a Houston fan ever since.

Raptors fan first and foremost.

I pull for some former Raptors like Morris Peterson, as well as some guys not affiliated with the Raptors team at all, like KG.

Players come and go, but true love (to a team) lasts forever!

I've always been a Wolves fan, but I am very happy for KG to finally have his ring (though I would have preferred it to happen in a Wolves Jersey ;)) I think it's stupid when 'fans' abbandon 'their' team to jump on the bandwaggon xD

I do a combination of both, although I hate more teams than I like...

The first team I started watching was the Lakers and then I realized Kobe was stupidly good. So I guess my man love for Kobe outshined my love for the team. Say if KB actually went to the Bulls last leason, I still would love the Lakers but Chicago would have catapulted from just an average team I liked to a top 3 favorite.

I do the same thing with all players too though. Guys like AI, Lebron, and Melo although I don't like them or their teams I have no choice but to respect there game. I always root for players like Kidd, Nash, CP3, D-Will, and Dwight Howard to name a few. So in turn because I like them, obvouisly I want their teams to win.

Interesting question. I usually would respond with Team, because Im just a huge fan of my local teams, Seahawks and Mariners. But now the Sonics?

Im finding myself still interested in "that" team, but find myself despising every bit of it --- except for the coaches and players.

So im torn

I could care less for a player.
I will always be a Heat fan, even after Wade leaves.
Even if we have 15 D-Leaguers on our team I will always be a Heat fan, I could care less about a player.

I'm a die hard Kings fan, but the only thing I looked forward to last season was Kevin Martin, due to all the injuries that ruined our season, and when Martin went down, it was TOUGH to say the least.

I love the wizards ever since I went to their game when I was 5 against golden state my friends were all going for the warriors but, I was going for the Wizards and stuck to them ever since. But, I've alwas loved 3 point shooting and have been A fan Of Ray Allen longer then a wizrds fan by about a year. So I was cheering for him to win MVP in the finals.

People who just root for players aren't real basketball fans, they're just imposter's who live to hunt for glory.

Player fanboys are the gayest thing around and when I find them on PSD it just makes me love the NBA a little less every time.

Neither really. I like basketball first and foremost. I like a lot of teams, even the ones I didn't like previously. If they do something to improve themselves, or they have great talent, why not cheer for them? I just want to see the best basketball possible.

I pull for all of the teams in the league that have smart and strong management, just 2 years ago Kevin Prichard and the Portland Trailblazers have skyrocketed my stock for them.
