I found it interesting, both are up and coming big men. Who is better?

I'd take Bass.

Maxiel. He's the better defensive player. And he's got a great offensive game too, he just doesn't get any plays run for him in Detroit. His only real weakness is his inability to consistently hit FT's.

Maxiell. His wingspan allows him to play bigger than he is. Great athlete, smooth midrange game, very good shotblocker and supreme energy man. He also has big game experience. Maxiell will be a more than serviceable starter in the league.

Ever since I first saw Bass play I've thought his game and build were very similar to Elton Brand. Both at 6'8" and pretty muscular bodies, can hit some mid range shots, and have a very similar style around the basket.

Anyway, I'd probably choose Bass. The stats are pretty even across the board considering the very slight difference in playing time. Bass is a little younger, and if he were to get out of Dirk's shadow he could be even better. Same for Maxiell though really. I'd take Maxiell's defense over Bass though.

Tough choice.

Right now I'll go with Maxiell. I haven't seen Bass play too much so I don't really know how good he is.
