He hit a home run in his first game with Pawtucket last night:

I guess he's about a week away, as long as he doesn't have any setbacks with his wrist.

Washed up? Who in their right mind would say that?

He got off to a horrendous start it happens. He didn't just lose his abilities over the winter. He is a monster second half guy the last couple of years, look for the same.

He is rested....and probably very strong. Take a week or so to work out the kinks. What makes his rehab HR's look so good is one was LF the other RF. So he hasn't lost power to all fields.

He does look funny in a Pawsox uni......

Well I know that.. I'm thinking back to April when everyone kept saying.. "people of his body type typically wear out in their mid 30's.. the reasonable of us said they were crazy.

He homered in his 3rd straight game tonight. Hit an absolute bomb to right field.

3 HR's in 3 games.

I think he's close to ready. Can't wait to see him back on Friday.

If you didn't already know, he's moving up (north, that is) to Portland for three games so he doesn't have to 'travel' with PAW. How much would it suck to face him as a AA starter?

If I was an AA starter -trust me here- they are salavating to face him. If you have any competitor in you at all its an honor and a chance to prove your worth. Nevermind the photo op and all the adrenalin.

He beats loads of pitchers. :D

Yeah, I guess you could always say, "I'm as good as Mariano Rivera" if he took you deep. :p
